[Photo} The sacred flag-raising ceremony "I love my Fatherland" took place simultaneously across the country.

Along with 7 central-level deployment locations across the country, the 2025 "I love my Fatherland" flag-raising ceremony was organized by the Vietnam Youth Union at all levels in all 34 provinces and cities early in the morning of August 16.

The "I love my Fatherland" flag-raising ceremony is one of the special events of the Vietnam Youth Union as well as the youth of the whole country, aiming to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).

The Central-level “I love my Fatherland” flag-raising ceremony took place at 7 locations: Van Xuan Flower Garden (Hang Dau Station, Hanoi ); Hang Duong Cemetery (Con Dao Special Zone); Thu Ngu Flagpole (Sai Gon Ward, Ho Chi Minh City); Three-border landmark, Vietnam-Laos-Cambodia Friendship Cultural House (Bo Y Commune, Quang Ngai Province); Mui Doi-Hon Dau (Dai Lanh Commune, Khanh Hoa Province); Lung Cu Flagpole (Tuyen Quang Province); Mui Ca Mau Flagpole (Ca Mau Province).

This sacred and proud ceremony aims to arouse national pride, love for homeland and country in the young generation; create a vibrant and exciting competitive atmosphere, encourage young people to express their patriotism through specific actions, meaningful stories and spread beautiful images of the country and people of Vietnam.

At the Hanoi end, Secretary of the Central Youth Union, President of the Vietnam Youth Union Nguyen Tuong Lam, along with representatives of departments, ministries, branches, organizations and hundreds of members and young people were present early in the morning to perform the flag-raising ceremony, sing the National Anthem and the Vietnam Youth Union Anthem.

Immediately after the ceremony, the Organizing Committee presented 800 national flags and photos of President Ho Chi Minh to the Hanoi Youth Union and outstanding youth and children of the capital; visited and presented gifts to 5 families of veteran revolutionaries and policy makers; and visited the "Digital Popular Education" team that is performing the task of supporting local authorities at 2 levels.

Along with the Central level activities, on the same morning, the Vietnam Youth Unions at all levels simultaneously organized the "I love my Fatherland" flag-raising ceremony in 34 provinces and cities, divided into more than 3,300 locations in communes, wards, and special zones, and carried out many meaningful activities and tasks.

Activities and tasks include: launching the Journey "I love my Fatherland"; hanging flags to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam; presenting the national flag and photo of President Ho Chi Minh.

According to preliminary statistics, the Association at all levels has presented nearly 16,000 national flags, 3,000 photos of Uncle Ho; carried out nearly 2,000 youth projects and tasks; deployed about 2,000 activities to visit red addresses, presented nearly 2,500 gifts... after the "I love my Fatherland" flag-raising ceremony, with a total cost of nearly 1.7 billion VND.

It is known that on August 9, in Japan, the first "I love my Fatherland" flag-raising ceremony abroad was solemnly and proudly organized by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union in coordination with the Vietnamese Consulate General in Osaka and the Vietnamese Youth and Student Association in Japan.

The "I Love My Fatherland" flag-raising ceremony is the key activity of stage 2 of the "I Love My Fatherland" Journey, called the "Proud of the National Epic" Journey, taking place from July 27 to August 19, 2025.

On this occasion, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union calls on all levels of the Union, Union officials, members, and youth nationwide to simultaneously change their avatars to "I love my Fatherland" on social media accounts.

In addition, young people can also proactively respond to the "I love my Fatherland" communication campaign with the theme "Proud of Vietnam", spreading love for the Fatherland and national pride in many other forms such as taking photos, making video clips about the homeland, checking in at red addresses and revolutionary historical sites.
