This morning, from Lung Cu to Ca Mau, the I Love My Fatherland Flag Raising Ceremony took place with 7 central-level points (Hanoi) and 34 provincial-level points, along with 3,334 communal-level points, amidst the heroic echoes of the National Anthem and the Association Anthem with the brilliant forest of red flags with yellow stars of patriotism.

On the morning of August 16, the "I love my Fatherland" flag-raising ceremony was held simultaneously by the Vietnam Youth Union at all levels across the country.

The central-level "I love my Fatherland" flag-raising ceremony took place at 7 locations: Van Xuan Flower Garden ( Hanoi ); Hang Duong Cemetery, Con Dao Special Zone and Thu Ngu Flagpole, Saigon Ward (Ho Chi Minh City); Three-border landmark, Vietnam - Laos - Cambodia Friendship Cultural House (Bo Y commune, Quang Ngai province); Mui Doi - Hon Dau (Dai Lanh commune, Khanh Hoa province); Lung Cu Flagpole (Tuyen Quang province); Mui Ca Mau Flagpole (Ca Mau province).

The flag-raising ceremony “I love my Fatherland” is one of the special events of the association members and Vietnamese youth to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, thereby arousing national pride and love for the homeland and country in the young generation.

Speaking at the flag-raising ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Tuong Lam, Secretary of the Central Youth Union, President of the Vietnam Youth Union (VYU), emphasized: This is a moment when patriotism and national pride are spreading strongly, from the historic Ba Dinh Square to remote villages, from the outpost islands to the streets lined with flags and flowers.

Today is not just a ceremony, but a patriotic chorus, resounding simultaneously in all regions of the country.

According to Secretary of the Central Youth Union Nguyen Tuong Lam, the journey "I love my Fatherland" spread across the country with both solemn and exciting activities: From paying tribute to those who have contributed, presenting the national flag and Uncle Ho's photo to border areas and islands; to flag-raising ceremonies at historical sites, mass performances, forming the national flag, the map of Vietnam, and a wave of sharing on social networks with creative images and videos .

Youth Union members express pride towards the national flag

Secretary of the Central Youth Union, President of the Vietnam Youth Union Nguyen Tuong Lam called on each member and young person to turn today's emotions into concrete and persistent actions so that the national flag and the spirit of "I love my Fatherland" are present in every action, from creative products spreading patriotic messages on social networks, to days of tireless volunteering, studying, working, and starting a business.

After the flag-raising ceremony, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union presented 800 national flags and photos of Uncle Ho to the Vietnam Youth Union of Hanoi; visited and presented gifts to 5 families of veteran revolutionaries and policy beneficiaries in the area (each family received 1 gift bag and 1 million VND in cash); visited the "Digital Popular Education" team supporting the local government at 2 levels in Truc Bach ward (Hanoi).

Along with the central level activities, this morning, the chapters of the association across the country also simultaneously organized the "I love my Fatherland" flag-raising ceremony in 34 provinces and cities, 3,334 locations in communes, wards, and special zones, and carried out many meaningful activities and tasks such as: Launching the "I love my Fatherland" journey; launching the flag-raising ceremony to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2; presenting the national flag and Uncle Ho's photo; propagating the sovereignty of national borders and islands; meeting and exchanging with historical witnesses; giving gifts to people in difficult circumstances, families with meritorious services; giving scholarships, backpacks, books, pens for the new school year to students in difficult circumstances...

The "I love my Fatherland" flag-raising ceremony takes place in many places across the country.

The chapters at all levels presented nearly 16,000 national flags and 3,000 photos of Uncle Ho; implemented nearly 2,000 youth projects and tasks; organized about 2,000 activities to visit historical sites and red addresses after the flag-raising ceremony; and presented nearly 2,500 gifts with a total cost of nearly 1.7 billion VND.

Previously, on August 9, in Japan, the Central Delegation of the Vietnam Youth Union in coordination with the Consulate General of Vietnam in Osaka and the Vietnamese Youth and Student Association in Japan organized a flag-raising ceremony within the framework of the "I Love My Fatherland" Journey in Japan, the first journey to take place abroad. Within the framework of the Journey, the first Vietnamese Youth Forum in Japan was held with two contents: "Preserving the Vietnamese language - spreading culture among the young generation" and "Aspiration for integration - Vietnamese youth in the era of globalization", and a presentation contest with the theme "I Love My Fatherland" was organized.
