Dien Bien: 20,000 people join the walk "Moving forward with Vietnam"

VHO - On the morning of August 16, nearly 20,000 cadres, civil servants, public employees, soldiers of the armed forces, youth union members, students and people in Dien Bien province participated in the walking program "Moving forward with Vietnam", responding to the message "1 billion steps into the new era".

The program was organized by Nhan Dan Newspaper in coordination with the Ministry of Public Security , taking place simultaneously in 34 provinces, cities and 3,321 communes, wards and special zones nationwide, contributing to the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2; 80th anniversary of the People's Public Security Traditional Day and 20th anniversary of the National Day for National Security Protection. At the same time, it aroused the spirit of patriotism, solidarity and development aspirations of the Vietnamese people in the new era.

From 6:00 a.m., all delegates and people in Dien Bien province performed the flag-raising ceremony and sang the National Anthem according to the time frame of the National Flag Raising Ceremony at Ba Dinh Square, Hanoi , creating a solemn and sacred atmosphere, expressing patriotism and national pride.

After the flag-raising ceremony, delegates and people departed from Dien Bien Phu Ward Square, walking 2km to Vo Thi Sau Park in an exciting, united and enthusiastic atmosphere.

The Program's activities also contribute to promoting the movement of the whole people participating in sports training, responding to the campaign "The whole people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho" and the movement "Healthy to build and protect the Fatherland"; encouraging daily walking as a positive habit, contributing to reducing carbon emissions, towards the national Net Zero goal.
