Phuong My Chi, Vo Ha Tram, Jun Pham support Cuba; Vietnam Red Cross warns of fake page

Artists Phuong My Chi, Vo Ha Tram, and Jun Pham called on fans to support Cuba; many groups also unexpectedly 'charged' for activities for Cuba.

Previously, artists Hoa Minzy, Tang Duy Tan, Duc Phuc, Binh Tinh, and composer Hoang Song Viet participated in supporting Cuba to overcome difficulties caused by natural disasters, epidemics, and blockade and embargo policies.

"Brother" Jun Pham wrote on his personal page: "Jun has contributed a little. I hope everyone in the family, no matter how little, can join hands to support the Cuban people."

The artist's post received more than 46,000 likes, with many of his fans saying they responded to the campaign.

Phuong My Chi borrowed a line from Chopsticks - a song composed by DTAP, Phuong My Chi, Pealhope and Thyself (INUS), performed at the final of Sing! Asia 2025 - to express her feelings for the Cuban people: "Asians shine in the galaxy / Even though they are small / Together we shine".

She wrote: "Phuong My Chi would like to share her heart with the Vietnamese people with our Cuban brothers."

The artist's post attracted more than 50,000 likes as well as many shares and comments. Many of Chi's fans also "showed off" their support for the Cuban brothers.

Singer Vo Ha Tram, musician Tuan Cry, actor Dinh Bao, and football player Quang Hai and his wife said they also supported the Cuban people. Singer Vo Ha Tram told fans: "Let's spread the word to everyone."

Many groups also suddenly "charged" to operate on their fanpages by calling for money transfers to the account number of the Vietnam Red Cross Society . The transfer content is "CUBA".

Sharing with Prensa Latina , Cuban Ambassador to Vietnam, Rogelio Polanco, expressed his deep gratitude for the great response of the Vietnamese people in the newly launched campaign to support the people of his country.

He said the affection of the Vietnamese people "is beyond imagination and is a great spiritual support for the Cuban people".

The Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society launched a program to support the Cuban people from August 13 to October 16.

All donations are received through account number 2022 at MBBank , with the transfer content "CUBA".
