Handing over 'Comrades' House' to military family in difficult circumstances

On August 16, authorized by the Border Guard Command of Nghe An province, Keng Du Border Guard Station coordinated with the Party Committee and authorities of Huoi Tu commune to organize the ribbon-cutting ceremony and handover of the "Comrades' House" in 2025 to the family of Captain Ly Ba Gio - Captain of the unit's Drug and Crime Prevention Team.

It is known that the family of Captain Ly Ba Gio (Mong ethnic group) is poor (parents are often sick, wife does not have a stable job...) so the family does not have the conditions to build a solid house to live in.

From the family's wish to have a stable place to live, the unit surveyed and proposed to the superiors to support the construction cost of the "Comrades' House" in 2025. The house was started at the end of April 2025 in Huoi Tu commune, with an area of over 75 m2 ^, 3-room wooden house, corrugated iron roof, suitable for the architecture and living conditions of local people; ensuring the family's long-term use needs. The house was built with a budget of 60 million VND from the Ministry of National Defense ; in addition, there were contributions in terms of funding, construction materials, and working days from comrade Ly Ba Gio's family, relatives, neighbors and officers and soldiers of Keng Du Border Post.

Commander of Keng Du Border Guard Station, Nghe An Border Guard and local Party Committee and authorities presented the symbol of funding to support the construction of "Comrades' House" in 2025 to the family of Captain Ly Ba Gio.

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Ngoc Tu - Political Commissar of Keng Du Border Post said: The house was built, completed and put into use, contributing to helping the family of soldier Ly Ba Gio have a stable and solid place to live, "Settling down and working"; the activity is even more meaningful when the unit is organizing activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2./.
