Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Truong Son informed the delegation about the characteristics, population situation, administrative boundaries of Dong Nai province from July 1, 2025; the province's industrial and agricultural strengths; key transport projects that the Vietnamese Government and Dong Nai province are focusing on implementing in the area. Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Truong Son expressed his hope that Belgian enterprises will continue to be interested in investing in Dong Nai province.
According to Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Truong Son, Dong Nai province is implementing policies and regimes to care for over 13,000 victims of Agent Orange/dioxin. In addition, the province also mobilizes social resources to assist victims of Agent Orange in many forms.
Through Ambassador Karl Van Den Bossche, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Truong Son expressed his gratitude to the Kingdom of Belgium for being the first country to ratify a resolution supporting Vietnamese victims of Agent Orange in 2023. At the same time, he hoped that in the coming time, the Kingdom of Belgium would continue to implement projects and activities to support victims of Agent Orange in Vietnam, as well as in Dong Nai province.

Ambassador Karl Van Den Bossche said that the Kingdom of Belgium has paid much attention to Agent Orange victims in Vietnam through contributions to handling the environmental and health impacts caused by Agent Orange. The Kingdom of Belgium is implementing the “Convenience Store” model to help Vietnamese Agent Orange victims and their families create jobs and thereby have a stable income.

In Dong Nai, this July, 3 families received financial support to implement the "Convenience Store" model (purchase of shelves, cabinets and other goods, carry out business procedures according to regulations...) with a total value of nearly 400 million VND. In the coming time, there will continue to be many "Convenience Stores" deployed by the Kingdom of Belgium for Agent Orange victims in Dong Nai province as well as Vietnam.

According to Ambassador Karl Van Den Bossche, Dong Nai province has great potential. Therefore, during his tenure as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Belgium to Vietnam, he will connect Belgian businesses to seek investment opportunities in the province and implement social security activities in the area.
