Also at the event, Vietcombank donated 100 tablets worth 1 billion VND to support K Hospital in deploying electronic medical records, promoting digital transformation in medical examination and treatment activities. This is a practical action within the chain of social security activities that the bank has been carrying out with the spirit of "shared belief - secure future", contributing to the digitalization of the medical industry.
Mr. Le Ngoc Thai presented a symbolic gift of 100 tablets worth 1 billion VND to serve the implementation of electronic medical records and digital transformation to the representative of K Hospital.
K Hospital currently has 3 facilities in Hanoi (Quan Su, Tam Hiep, Tan Trieu), with nearly 2,000 staff, civil servants, and employees, and receives more than 500,000 medical examinations and treatments each year. As a leading specialized hospital, the unit is gradually modernizing its operating system, enhancing the application of technology and comprehensive digital transformation to meet the increasing demand for medical examination and treatment.
Representatives of K Hospital highly appreciated Vietcombank's support, especially in equipment sponsorship, cashless payment implementation, modern financial management, and believed that this strategic relationship would strongly promote the comprehensive digital transformation process at the hospital, in line with the Government's orientation in Project 06.
Promoting digital transformation in the healthcare industry from specific actions
Over the years, Vietcombank has affirmed its pioneering role in accompanying the healthcare sector. During the peak of the Covid-19 pandemic, the bank contributed hundreds of billions of VND to epidemic prevention and control funds, and sponsored equipment for many frontline hospitals such as Bach Mai, Cho Ray, etc. After the pandemic, the chain of support continued, from renovating facilities to upgrading equipment at a series of hospitals across the country. In 2024 alone, Vietcombank will spend up to VND571 billion on social security programs, most of which focus on healthcare, education, and disadvantaged communities.
Not stopping at social security activities, with its position as one of the leading commercial banks in Vietnam, Vietcombank also deploys a series of specialized digital financial solutions for the medical industry. Vietcombank is one of the first banks to bring cashless payment solutions to the hospital environment, such as QR Code, e-wallet, modern POS system... At Tan Trieu K Hospital, Vietcombank has deployed the VIMESPay payment system in more than 30 clinics, helping to reduce pressure at the cashier counter, saving time for patients and creating peace of mind in payment.
With strong financial potential, modern technology and a professional team, the bank continues to build comprehensive financial product packages for hospitals and medical facilities, from automatic payment solutions, revenue and expenditure management, to consulting on implementing a transparent and effective public financial management system.
The comprehensive cooperation agreement with K Hospital is not only a concrete step forward but also a clear demonstration of Vietcombank's long-term vision in accompanying the modernization process of Vietnam's healthcare sector, contributing to the successful implementation of Project 06 on developing digital government and digital society.
The signing ceremony was also attended by representatives of the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management, opening up opportunities to expand inter-sectoral cooperation, from finance to health, forming a linked value chain for a comprehensively developed Vietnam in the digital age.
