During the development process, the province's industrial park system and industries will gradually be transformed towards green and circular development for sustainable development and adaptation to climate change.
Resonance of power
Dong Nai province (old) has established 37 industrial parks, of which 32 have come into operation. According to the approved plan, by 2030, Dong Nai will have 48 industrial parks. Meanwhile, Binh Phuoc province (old) has 15 industrial parks with an area of 6 thousand hectares, of which 13 have come into operation.
With a breakthrough mindset, promoting potentials and advantages, Dong Nai has determined that by 2050, the province will be one of the important growth poles of Vietnam, leading in the development of green and ecological industry, completing the net zero target.
Thus, after merging into the new Dong Nai province, the province will have more industrial parks with tens of thousands of hectares of land added to the industrial land fund for lease. This will create new positions and forces in building and developing the socio -economy; changing the production structure, industry structure; organizing architectural construction space; attracting investment resources. Notably, the issue of developing new generation industrial parks according to ecological and green models has become an inevitable trend on a global scale. This is to adapt to climate change and sustainable development.
Currently, Dong Nai has Amata Industrial Park which is relatively up to the standards of an ecological industrial park. This industrial park has undergone rigorous research and implemented comprehensive strategies to meet international standards on sustainability and has been responded to and implemented by many secondary enterprises. From Amata Industrial Park, other industrial parks will also apply green and sustainable development. For example, Long Duc Industrial Park is focusing on building a green and smart industrial park data platform; improving the efficiency of industrial waste treatment towards zero CO2 emissions; saving energy. Phuoc An Industrial Park project is planned to become an ecological industrial park, green industry associated with seaport logistics...
Dong Nai is receiving much attention from industrial park infrastructure investors and the province is selectively attracting investment in both secondary projects and ecological industrial park development. To be more favorable, investors need to clearly understand the province's policies and comply with commitments to the locality, proactively proposing coordinated solutions to speed up progress.
In addition to the traditional industrial development area, after the merger, Dong Nai's industrial space has been expanded to areas that used to belong to Binh Phuoc. Binh Phuoc (old) also has a policy of rapid and sustainable industrial development, prioritizing industries with high added value such as: processing, manufacturing, supporting industry, renewable energy, construction materials, information technology. Encourage enterprises to upgrade the value chain and move towards activities with higher added value.
According to Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Tan Duc, Dong Nai has implemented solutions to promote the attraction of high-tech, environmentally friendly projects. Dong Nai's future industrial parks will be planned to develop in locations with favorable infrastructure, optimizing human resources and costs. The province focuses on accelerating the progress of infrastructure investment in industrial parks and specialized industrial parks supporting the industry, creating favorable conditions for investors.
Businesses interested in developing green industrial infrastructure
In recent years, Dong Nai has been oriented to build green industrial parks to attract high-tech industries, and at the same time convert existing industrial parks into ecological industrial parks. This is a common trend that countries and localities in the country are aiming for. In line with this orientation, the province has received attention and implementation from international brands such as: Amata, Sojitz, corporations from Korea... Besides foreign investors, some domestic corporations are also interested and want to invest in green, high-tech industrial park projects in the province.
