Nissan Patrol is coming to Vietnam, adding high-performance Nismo version
The Nissan Patrol Nismo gets more power, tuned steering, sportier suspension and a more soulful exhaust note.

The new generation Nissan Patrol (also known as Armada in the US market) was just launched in September 2024, but there is already a Nismo version with more power, a refined steering system, a sportier suspension, and a more emotional exhaust sound. Specifically, the new Nissan Patrol Nismo is equipped with a 3.5L twin-turbo V6 gasoline engine, producing a maximum capacity of 460 horsepower. Compared to the regular version, the car is 35 horsepower stronger. Currently, Nissan has not announced information about the car's torque, so it is likely to remain at 700 Nm.
Nissan says the Patrol Nismo gets a power boost thanks to tweaks to the engine control software and valve clearances. You’ll hear the engine more clearly thanks to a reworked exhaust system. Plus, there’s an Active Sound Enhancement system in the cabin that makes the engine sound more lively. Not only is it more powerful, the Nissan Patrol Nismo has also been improved in terms of appearance to look more aggressive. The car still retains the square shape and the “E 3” LED daytime running lights of the standard version. However, Nissan has added a sports body kit, side steps and a rear spoiler designed by Nismo to this large SUV. Extended wheel arch covers give the car a more rugged look. The car also has front LED fog lights, 22-inch alloy wheels, high-performance tires and red brake calipers. In addition, the car also has a redesigned electric power steering wheel, giving a sportier driving feel. Meanwhile, the adaptive air suspension system makes the driving experience more flexible and responsive.
Inside, the car is covered in quilted leather, typical of Nismo versions. The main color of the interior is charcoal, creating a contrast with red accents. The front seats are equipped with electrically adjustable side bolsters to keep the driver's posture firm when cornering hard. Aluminum pedals and a multi-color interior lighting system are also equipped. The Nissan Patrol Nismo is available in a number of exclusive paint colors, including Stealth Gray, Stealth Gray with Super Black roof, and Black Diamond Pearl. Customers can also choose from Everest White Pearl Tricoat and Everest White Pearl Tricoat with Super Black roof, just like the standard version. The new Patrol continues the tradition of Nissan's renowned 4x4 line, with over 1.9 million units sold globally over seven generations. In addition to the Nismo version, the vehicle is also available in other versions such as SV, SL, Platinum, Pro-4X and Platinum Reserve.
The regular versions of the car also use a 3.5L twin-turbo V6 gasoline engine, but the capacity stops at 425 horsepower. This engine comes with a 9-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters behind the steering wheel. All versions have a standard towing capacity of up to 3,855 kg. The Pro-4X version, which first appeared on the Patrol, is equipped with specialized tires for off-road driving, a front bumper designed for better climbing ability, skid plates, an electronic locking differential and an electronically controlled adaptive air suspension system. The exterior of the Pro-4X is highlighted by extended wheel arches, specially painted 20-inch wheels and Lava Red details on the body. In addition, the Pro-4X version also has the option of separate business seats in the second row instead of a bench. What is rare is that the 12-speaker sound system on the Nissan Patrol is provided by the famous Klipsch brand. According to information from the dealer, the Nissan Patrol will officially launch in Vietnam this year with a price of about 4 billion VND, competing with the Toyota Land Cruiser LC300.
