According to the banks' instructions, with just a few steps on the VNeiD application, people can register to receive social security money quickly, safely and officially through an account opened at the bank.

Accordingly, if people already have a bank account: First step is to go to the VNeID application, click on "Social Security"; select "Social Security Account"; enter the passcode, select Bank, enter the bank account number.

After completing the above three steps, people have completed and can wait for approval to receive money directly into their bank account.

In case people do not have a bank account, they can register to open an account by downloading the banking application. Then return to the above steps to complete the registration procedure.

Banks note that the linked account must be a VND account, with the same owner name, active and unrestricted. The response time for linking requests is usually from 20 seconds to 1 minute. Users can check in the “Registration History” section on the application. Rejection may be due to incorrect account number entry, the account is no longer valid or the personal information on VNeID does not match the bank data.

This connection has been implemented by many banks through cooperation with Napas and the Ministry of Public Security . The connection of payment accounts on VneID is to help customers receive social security benefits, pay for public services (pension money, subsidies for the poor, meritorious people...) through linked payment accounts.

Previously, the Ministry of Public Security was assigned to preside over and coordinate with commercial banks to deploy solutions for people to create social security accounts, striving to ensure that 100% of Vietnamese people have social security accounts this year. Review people's accounts on VNeID; bank accounts are linked to the VNeID application to clean up for social security payments, ensuring transparency and avoiding fraud./.

The Prime Minister has just issued Official Dispatch No. 149/CD-TTg dated August 28, 2025 on giving gifts to people on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2.

The telegram stated that in the jubilant atmosphere of the whole country celebrating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, to continue to show the deep concern of the Party and State for all people, implementing the direction of General Secretary To Lam, the Government Party Committee submitted to the Politburo the organization of gift giving to people on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2.

The gift level is 100,000 VND/person, for all people to celebrate Independence Day.

The Ministry of Finance shall preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies to urgently report to competent authorities for decision before August 29, 2025 to arrange appropriate funding sources for implementation, ensuring state budget balance.

The State Bank of Vietnam directs relevant units and commercial banks, especially commercial banks where the State Treasury opens accounts, to ensure the payment and cash systems, meeting the requirements of giving gifts to people in a timely and smooth manner, without missing anyone and without duplication.

The People's Committees of provinces and centrally run cities direct relevant agencies and units in their localities to closely coordinate with the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Finance, and the State Bank of Vietnam to organize timely and safe delivery of gifts to people, ensuring progress as required.
