Launching "Give Wings to Dreams for Disabled Children": Mobilizing 2 billion VND in donations

On August 29, at the Vietnam Exhibition Center, the Vietnam Association for the Relief of Disabled Children in collaboration with the National Humanitarian Information Portal 1400 organized the 2nd "Wings of Dreams for Disabled Children" Campaign in 2025.

The event was held within the framework of activities at the National Achievement Exhibition “80 Years of the Journey of Independence-Freedom-Happiness,” taking place from August 28 to September 5, 2025. This is also a meaningful activity to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Chairman of the Vietnam Association for the Relief of Disabled Children Ngo Sach Thuc said that up to now, after 10 times of organization, the program "Lighting up the faith for children" initiated by the Vietnam Association for the Relief of Disabled Children has mobilized donations to help, bring opportunities for learning, screening, surgery, rehabilitation therapy, career guidance, and employment to millions of disabled children nationwide.

The program has instilled faith and love for life in the children, along with the help and sharing of family, friends and the community. Faith and love will help the children have the strength to overcome themselves. The help and sharing of everyone around them is the support for the children to grow up and mature.

The program "Lighting up your faith" in 2025 has the theme "Give wings to dreams for children with disabilities." This is an activity to celebrate the country's major and important events, the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South, the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day September 2 with very specific goals for each period.

Through implementation since the beginning of the year in Ho Chi Minh City and Ha Tinh, over 6,000 children have received support from the program.

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), and to respond to the Vietnam Day for People with Disabilities on April 18, the Vietnam Association for the Relief of Disabled Children in collaboration with the 1400 Information Portal organized the program "Give Wings to Dreams for Disabled Children" from February 20, 2025 to April 30, 2025.

As a result, over 3,600 children were supported, including 5 children who were given computers, helping their dreams of studying and starting a business come true.

Responding to the Month of Action for Children on June 1, 2025, the Association coordinated with the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province to organize the 10th "Lighting up the faith for children" program.

The program has received support and commitment to support children with over 2 billion VND, giving gifts and scholarships to outstanding disabled children who have overcome difficulties, supporting disabled children in areas affected by storms and floods, providing screening and surgery for over 2,400 children, including giving computers to 40 disabled children who are proficient in using them and have dreams of starting a business in 6 provinces responding to national digital transformation.

Chairman of the Vietnam Association for the Relief of Disabled Children Ngo Sach Thuc shared that before the new school year 2025-2026 and preparing to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival, the Association continues to launch the program "Wings of Dreams for Disabled Children" for the second time in 2025 to mobilize donations of 2 billion VND to support at least 2,000 disabled children of school age in difficult circumstances, with the spirit of overcoming difficulties in studying in the school year 2025-2025.

The program will give computers to outstanding disabled students who are passionate about information technology; support treatment and rehabilitation for disabled children in the community; give gifts to disabled children on the occasion of the Mid-Autumn Festival in 2025, with special priority given to disabled children in areas affected by storms, floods, natural disasters, etc.

It is expected that the program will support each child with 1 to 2 million VND in cash and essential necessities.

According to Mr. Ngo Sach Thuc, the main beneficiaries of the program are school-age disabled children, children in difficult circumstances, disabled children affected by storms and floods, disabled children receiving treatment for serious illnesses, children with the spirit of overcoming difficulties, and children with dreams of starting a business...

Strive for 10,000 children to receive support from the program by 2025. By 2026, each province will have at least 5 disabled children with difficult circumstances, good at computers, and dreams of starting a business to receive computers from the program.

The program aims to mobilize resources from charitable organizations and individuals to help and create conditions for disabled children to be protected and cared for according to the law on children and people with disabilities, helping them integrate into the community, thereby spreading the example of "good people, good deeds", encouraging the spirit of overcoming difficulties, promoting the cultural values ​​of humanity, support and solidarity of the Vietnamese people.

The second campaign to support "Give Wings to Dreams for Children with Disabilities" in 2025 will be implemented from August 15, 2025 to December 31, 2025, through the form of Viet QR code scanning.

Sponsors can directly bring money and gifts to give to the children. The Vietnam Association for the Relief of Disabled Children commits to transparently reporting all contributions. At the same time, coordinate with localities and facilities to help the right people, organize the giving, take pictures, cheer, and spread the example of overcoming difficulties.
