Factory X48 (Naval Logistics and Engineering Department) celebrates 60th anniversary of its traditional day

On the morning of January 17, in Quang Hanh ward (Cam Pha city), Factory X48, Logistics and Engineering Department, Navy solemnly held a ceremony to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Factory's Traditional Day, January 18 (1965 - 2025).

Representatives of the Navy Command, the Navy Logistics and Engineering Department, armed forces units, Cam Pha City and delegates attended the celebration.

In the speech reviewing the 60-year tradition, the representative of the X48 Factory stated: On January 18, 1965, the Navy Command issued Decision No. 140 on expanding the Bai Chay Ship Repair Station into a ship repair workshop of the Navy, located under the Logistics of Patrol Zone I, with the code name of Workshop 48. This is the predecessor of the X48 Factory, the Logistics-Technical Department, the Navy. Since its establishment, overcoming many difficulties, hardships and sacrifices, the X48 Factory has completed its mission of ensuring good ships, weapons and equipment, serving the task of firmly protecting the sovereignty of the sea and islands and maintaining a peaceful and stable environment in the seas of the Fatherland; contributing to building the glorious tradition and proud achievements of the Logistics-Technical Department and the Navy.

X48 Factory was honored to receive a Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister for its outstanding achievements in performing assigned tasks.

In particular, in recent years, Factory X48 has always completed and exceeded targets and plans for repairing military ships, producing specialized technical materials, and mobile repair of weapons and technical equipment at units inside and outside the Army. The technical equipment system, especially specialized technical materials products manufactured by the Factory, ensures features and technical standards and gradually replaces imported materials, increasingly better meeting the requirements and assigned tasks. Along with that, the Factory has actively deployed and effectively implemented 2 breakthroughs in technical work; maintained a disciplined technical work regime; managed and exploited technical equipment according to procedures, ensuring absolute safety for people, weapons, equipment, and ships during the performance of tasks; periodically organized and participated in competitions and sports events in specialized fields with good results; strengthened training and fostering to improve the qualifications and capacity of the team of technical and professional staff; promote the movement of innovation, technical improvement...

Along with carrying out key political tasks, the Party Committees and commanders at all levels of the Factory always focus on building a regular and disciplined system, implementing breakthroughs; maintaining good order and regime of living, political study, military training; principles, order and regime of Party activities; studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style well in conjunction with the Campaign "Promoting tradition, dedicating talent, worthy of being Uncle Ho's soldiers - Navy soldiers in the new era"; actively participating in emulation movements, campaigns, propaganda activities for seas, islands, and borders; gratitude activities, mass mobilization, rear policies, etc.

With persistent and continuous efforts and outstanding achievements over the past 60 years, Factory X48 has been awarded many noble prizes by the Party, State, Army and Service such as: Second and Third Class Military Exploit Medal; Third Class Liberation Military Exploit Medal; Third Class Fatherland Protection Medal; 2 Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister. The Gun and Artillery Repair and Welding Production Team was awarded the Third Class Military Exploit Medal. In particular, in 2010, the Factory was honored to be awarded the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces during the anti-American period.
