Taking advantage of favorable weather, people in the highlands hurriedly went to the fields to harvest corn. Spring-summer corn in Trinh Tuong commune is assessed by farmers to be of good quality. Every year, people in the highlands grow two crops of corn: spring-summer and main crop, planted right after the spring-summer harvest. Spring-summer corn in many localities has high yield.
Corn harvested from the fields is dried by people to use for livestock or to sell. People of Ta Phin commune dry newly harvested corn. In Ban Lau commune, in addition to hybrid corn, this spring-summer crop, farmers planted 6.2 hectares of high-quality sweet corn, with an estimated yield of 6 tons/ha.
Sweet corn of farmers in Ban Lau commune is bought by traders immediately after harvest. Farmers in Muong Khuong commune are busy harvesting corn.
