Former General Director of Samsung Vietnam Choi Joo Ho was awarded the Third Class Labor Medal.

Samsung Group currently has 6 factories, 1 research and development center and 1 sales entity in Bac Ninh, Thai Nguyen, Hanoi , Ho Chi Minh City. The output of phones manufactured in Vietnam accounts for 50% of the total global output (including complete products and components), exported to 128 countries and territories.

In 2024, export turnover will reach more than 54 billion USD, accounting for more than 14% of the country's total export turnover; total revenue will reach 62.5 billion USD; jobs will be created for more than 83,000 workers... Along with production and business activities, Samsung Vietnam always fulfills its social responsibility as an investor, actively participates in social security activities and takes care of the lives of workers.

Mr. Choi Joo Ho has been working in Vietnam since December 2018 as General Director of Samsung Vietnam, in charge of overall management of manufacturing plants in Vietnam. He is also Samsung's representative in Vietnam in cooperative relations with the Government as well as localities.

Mr. Choi Joo Ho's mark is reflected in social activities, supporting the development of education for the young generation of Vietnam. In particular, Mr. Choi Joo Ho has made great contributions to promoting the successful construction of Samsung Vietnam Research and Development Center (SRV), the leading Southeast Asian research and development center of Samsung in Vietnam; creating a solid foundation to elevate Vietnam's position to become a strategic research and development base of Samsung globally...

Thanks to those contributions, Mr. Choi Joo Ho and Samsung Vietnam received many awards from the Central and local levels.

Speaking at the ceremony, former General Director of Samsung Vietnam Choi Joo Ho expressed his joy at receiving the Third Class Labor Medal awarded by the State of Vietnam. This great honor was greatly supported and assisted by Bac Ninh province.

Mr. Choi Joo Ho affirmed that throughout the production process, Samsung Group has always received the attention and facilitation of provincial leaders, and has promptly resolved any arising problems and difficulties, which has led to the success of Samsung Vietnam today. This Medal is not an individual achievement but a noble gift from the Vietnamese State to Samsung Group.

Congratulating former General Director Choi Joo Ho on being awarded the Third Class Labor Medal by the State of Vietnam, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Van Gau emphasized that this is a noble award, recognizing Mr. Choi Joo Ho's contributions to the economic development of Vietnam as well as fostering the friendly relationship between the two countries. He hoped that in the coming time, in his new position, Mr. Choi Joo Ho will continue to achieve more success.

Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Van Gau said that before attending the ceremony, the provincial delegation visited the Samsung Factory and heard about the Group's investment and development process in Bac Ninh province and Vietnam.

Bac Ninh Province highly values and considers Samsung Group as a strategic partner, a model of effective cooperation between local authorities and foreign-invested enterprises. Samsung is a testament to cooperation, attracting investment in high-tech production, modern, green, environmentally friendly technology, and building an industrial ecosystem.

The Provincial Party Secretary emphasized that after the merger, Bac Ninh province has great potential and room for development. In the near future, the province will start construction of Gia Binh International Airport and connecting roads and high-speed railways, making Bac Ninh a major industrial center of the North and the whole country.

With the results achieved in the past time, the Provincial Party Secretary hopes to continue to receive the support of Samsung Group in socio-economic development activities, expand investment, increase production scale; support Vietnamese enterprises to participate in Samsung's production and supply chain. At the same time, continue to accompany the province in social security activities; be a bridge in the diplomatic activities of Bac Ninh province with localities and Korean partners; actively introduce and promote the image, investment and business environment, potential and advantages of Bac Ninh province to Korean investors.
