Ho Chi Minh City residents will receive 2-month Tet pension from January 2, 2025

(Dan Tri) - People in Ho Chi Minh City will receive a 2-month pension, paid in one lump sum from January 2, 2025 because January 1, 2025 is New Year's Day.

Ho Chi Minh City Social Insurance has just announced the time to pay combined pensions and social insurance benefits for January 2025 and February 2025 at the same payment period as January 2025 in the area.

Accordingly, for those who register to receive benefits through personal accounts, pensions and social insurance benefits for January 2025 and February 2025 will be transferred to the beneficiary's account from January 2, 2025. The reason is that January 1, 2025 is the New Year holiday.

For cases that are settled to receive monthly pensions and social insurance benefits from December 21, 2024 to January 17, 2025, pensions and social insurance benefits will be transferred to beneficiaries on January 23, 2025.

For those who register to receive benefits in cash, Ho Chi Minh City Post Office will organize payments from January 4, 2025 to February 25, 2025 (except for weekly holidays, holidays, and Tet according to regulations).

Ho Chi Minh City Social Security noted: "Because the Lunar New Year 2025 falls on January 29, 2025, pensioners and social insurance beneficiaries are encouraged to receive their pensions and social insurance benefits early at the Post Office's payment points before January 25, 2025."
