The Vietnamese Students Association in the Netherlands (VSNL) has just announced that it will organize a Dutch Study Abroad Festival in Hanoi on July 26, with the aim of becoming a "practical bridge" between students preparing to depart and the Vietnamese student community studying and living in the Netherlands. The activity is free of charge, requiring participants to bring a book such as a textbook, reference book... to build a bookshelf at a disadvantaged school in Son La.

With real-life experiences and up-to-date information, the event will include sharing sessions from alumni, live Q&A sessions, and many other interactive activities. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about the Dutcheducation system, how to plan their studies, choose a place to live, adapt to the living environment, and the challenges of studying and personal life.

Not only does the event provide academic information, it also opens up a networking space for new international students to help them form their first relationships with the Vietnamese student community in the Netherlands. The program also has a post-graduation orientation desk run by alumni and a regional desk run by students living and studying locally.

To participate in the event, Vietnamese international students can register HERE .

According to statistics from the Netherlands Organization for International Cooperation in Higher Education (Nuffic), in the 2024-2025 academic year, there will be 1,485 Vietnamese students studying at Dutch universities, an increase of 86 people compared to the 2023-2024 academic year. This is also the highest number recorded in the past 18 years according to Nuffic. Of these, the most Vietnamese students studying in the Netherlands are in economics (824), followed by engineering (236), social and behavioral sciences (184), and languages and cultures (106).
