On June 23, 2024, Market Management Team No. 1, Quang Ninh Provincial Market Management Department presided over and coordinated with Customs Forces and the Provincial Military Command to search a motorized watercraft driven by Mr. Le Duc Chi.

As a result of the vehicle inspection, the authorities discovered 300,000 oyster strings with a total weight of 63 tons of oyster seeds owned by Mr. NV H, born in 1969, residing in Zone 9, Quang Yen Ward, Quang Yen Town. The entire amount of oyster seeds worth more than 1.5 billion VND had no invoices or documents proving their origin. Considering that the case had signs of crime, Market Management Team No. 1, Market Management Department of Quang Ninh Province handed over the entire case file to the prosecution agency for handling according to its authority.

To develop sustainable aquaculture, the Market Management force of Quang Ninh province will continue to closely coordinate with functional forces in the province to strengthen inspection and strictly handle acts of transporting and trading in smuggled aquatic breeds of unknown origin in Quang Ninh province.
