At the first transaction session at Xuan An transaction point, Ham Thang ward, the Transaction Office assigned staff to coordinate with 4 socio -political organizations (Women's Union, Youth Union, Veterans Association, Farmers' Association) and the leaders of the Savings and Loan Groups (TK&VV) to be present in full to prepare for the transaction. The facilities are guaranteed, the work of disbursement, debt collection, interest collection, savings acceptance... is organized scientifically, conveniently, quickly, creating convenience and satisfaction for the people.

Secretary of the Party Committee of Ham Thang Ward, Dang Thanh Phuc, was also present at the transaction point to inspect and direct in order to ensure stable and smooth policy credit activities after the merger. Mr. Phuc emphasized: “After merging administrative units, the first transaction session at the ward is an important initial step. I hope that associations, unions and savings and credit groups will continue to promote their roles and proactively remove difficulties and obstacles that have arisen in the past. In the coming time, it is necessary to maintain order, properly implement principles and regulations to serve capital sources effectively and promptly for the people. In case of difficulties or shortcomings, they must be reported immediately for support and quick handling.”

Ms. Pham Thi Ngoc Yen - President of Ham Thang Ward Women's Union said: The Union is managing 18 Savings and Credit Groups with 884 members, with a total outstanding debt of more than 32 billion VND. Transaction activities are still maintained according to the old schedule, without any disruption after the merger. We will regularly grasp the loan needs of members, propose the Social Policy Bank to disburse to support women in economic development, business and stabilize their lives. The Union also closely follows the area, visits borrowers after disbursement, urges interest payment, savings, and limits overdue debt.

According to the reporter's records at Phu Trinh transaction points (Phan Thiet ward), Phu Tai transaction points, Phong Nam transaction points (Binh Thuan ward), etc., transaction activities also took place smoothly and conveniently. Ms. Pham Thi Bay - Head of the Savings and Credit Group in Xuan Phu village (Binh Thuan ward) said: "Today I came to make a savings transaction and pay interest to the group members. After the merger, all activities are still stable, without any problems. The number of group members has increased to 55 members, with a total outstanding debt of 2.9 billion VND".

The Lam Dong Provincial Bank for Social Policies Branch currently has 1 head office, 27 transaction offices and 329 commune transaction points in 124 communes, wards and Phu Quy Special Zone. The entire system has 6,460 savings and credit groups, serving nearly 290,000 customers with preferential loans, with outstanding loans ranking 4th nationwide.

Stick to the motto of getting capital from people

After the merger, the Lam Dong Provincial Bank for Social Policies established the Binh Thuan Bank for Social Policies Transaction Office, which came into operation on July 1. There are currently 19 transaction points in 7 wards and communes managing 352 savings and credit groups, with outstanding loans of about VND 880 billion and more than 16,000 customers with outstanding loans. To ensure smooth transaction activities, the Binh Thuan Bank for Social Policies Transaction Office has specifically announced the procedures and points to note to the heads of the savings and credit groups. Notably, after the merger, the transaction points are still maintained at the headquarters of the People's Committees of the old communes and wards, in order to create the most favorable conditions for people to access loans, while limiting long-distance travel, helping to implement policy credit promptly and effectively.

Mr. Ly Khau Nghia - Deputy Director of the Social Policy Bank of Lam Dong province, concurrently Director of the Transaction Office of the Social Policy Bank of Binh Thuan province said: With the motto of making documents at home, disbursing at the transaction point, the provincial Social Policy Bank system continues to promote the model of transaction points at the grassroots level, which is a unique feature of the Social Policy Bank. This model has been and is being effective, helping poor households and other policy beneficiaries to promptly access preferential capital from the Government, saving travel costs and creating convenience in the borrowing process.
