A university in Ho Chi Minh City adds points to the transcripts of 675 students.

This year's admission season, students at 675 high schools will receive an additional 0.8-1 point when applying for admission based on their transcripts to Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education.

Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education has just announced some new points about the admission plan, including bonus points for students from specialized schools, gifted schools, and priority admission.

Specifically, students from 81 specialized and gifted schools nationwide will receive 1 point. Students from 346 priority schools will receive 0.8 points.

At Binh Phuoc branch, the bonus level of 0.8 points applies to all high schools in the province (35 schools) and 213 schools in neighboring provinces.

In addition to extra points for the above schools, candidates with foreign language certificates and national and provincial excellent student awards will also receive 0.5-1.2 extra points when considering high school transcripts for admission to the school.

Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education also announced that it would no longer consider the D01 combination (Math, Literature, English) for the Microcircuit Design Engineering training program (under the Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering Technology major).

For the Materials Technology major, the school adjusted the main subject with a coefficient of 2 to Physics or Chemistry, instead of Math as before.

This year, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education recruits more than 7,000 students at the Ho Chi Minh City campus and nearly 500 students at the Binh Phuoc branch. In addition to considering academic records, the school also recruits directly according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training ; prioritizes admission according to the school's project; considers the 2025 high school graduation exam scores; and the capacity assessment test scores of Ho Chi Minh City National University.

The school accepts certificates, evidence of priority admission, priority points, and bonus points until July 17.
