On the evening of July 12, the Han River was resplendent in a spectacular fireworks display that closed the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival - DIFF 2025.
With a top performance, Jiangxi Yangfeng (China) team won the championship. Meanwhile, the home team Z121 Vina Pyrotech entered the finals for the first time and left behind many deep emotions and pride.
Vietnam enters the final for the first time, China soars
DIFF 2025 ended with the final night considered "the hottest in fireworks history", when for the first time the host team of Vietnam - Z121 Vina Pyrotech (under the Ministry of National Defense ) participated in the final round of competition, facing Jiangxi Yangfeng - the current runner-up of DIFF 2024 and also a "golden face" of the world fireworks village.
From noon, thousands of people and tourists flocked to the streets along the Han River, “spreading out tarps to reserve a spot” to hunt for a good spot to enjoy the fireworks. By 5 p.m., traffic to the fireworks area was already packed with people. The stands were full early, and the bridges and embankments were packed with people.
The attraction of the final night also comes from the music festival with the participation of famous artists such as My Tam, Tung Duong, Huong Tram... and hundreds of dancers on a floating stage with elaborate investment in sound and light.
And the fireworks did not disappoint the audience. Team Z121 opened with an emotional performance, using more than 7,000 fireworks combined with carefully selected music such as “Centuries”, “Fireworks”, “Vietnamese Spirit”, “Aspiration for Peace”…
Each melody, each burst of fireworks is like a chapter about the desire for development, love of peace and Vietnamese identity. The effects of blooming, spiraling, and layering fireworks… immerse the entire audience in a space that is both pleasing to the eye and choked with emotion.
Not to be outdone, Jiangxi Yangfeng showed their international class with a high-tech performance themed “Da Nang - Shining Pearl, Future City”. They opened with “The Final Countdown” featuring a symmetrical circular effect, followed by a series of fireworks moving to the electronic beat of “Trying All” and “Legacy of Six”.
In particular, the cultural fusion was subtly demonstrated when the Vietnamese song “Bac Bling” was integrated into the performance. The finale “Mountain Call” with gold and silver fireworks made the entire Han River burn in light.
And after extremely difficult moments of making a decision, the Jury announced that Jiangxi Yangfeng (China) officially won the DIFF 2025 Champion title, with a prize of 20,000 USD. Fireworks team Z121 (Vietnam) received the runner-up prize with a prize of 10,000 USD - a proud historical achievement.
In addition, three additional prizes worth 5,000 USD each were also awarded: “Creativity” went to Macedos Pirotecnia (Portugal), “Audience Favorite” went to Da Nang (Vietnam), and “Prospect” went to Martarello Group SLR (Italy).
"Starry Sky" landed, the audience exploded with emotions
Not just a fireworks night, the final night of DIFF 2025 is also a sublime artistic feast with the participation of top stars.
My Tam – the “brown-haired nightingale” made the audience explode when she appeared with the song “The Light” which she composed herself. Tung Duong brought “Hope” – an artistic declaration about faith and light. Huong Tram returned to the stage with two international hits “When You Believe” and “Never Enough” in a new, powerful style.
The climax was when Tung Duong and Huong Tram sang “Hoa Mat Troi” as a duet, making the audience burst into emotions. In addition, the duo Nguyen Tran Trung Quan and Denis Dang performed “Hoa Lien” for the first time, creating a youthful and romantic breeze for the art festival.
With more than 10,000 live audiences and millions of viewers on television and social networks, the final night of DIFF 2025 affirmed the irreplaceable position of this festival in Vietnam's cultural and tourism life.
Not only an entertainment event, DIFF 2025 also brings positive results to Da Nang's economy and tourism. According to statistics, during the final round alone, Da Nang welcomed nearly 98,000 visitors, an increase of 6.4% over the same period in 2024. Of which, international visitors increased by 81% and domestic visitors increased by 18%. Room occupancy at coastal and central hotels is almost 100%.
Da Nang International Airport recorded 171 domestic and international flights on July 11 – a record number, far exceeding the same period last year. Han River cruise ships also filled 90% of their capacity for fireworks tickets.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Thi - Vice Chairwoman of Da Nang People's Committee said: "DIFF in the next 5 years will be invested in a larger scale, becoming a new growth driver for the night-time economy, tourism and brand of the city. This is a direction that is consistent with the vision of developing Da Nang in a green - smart - modern direction, positioning the cultural brand on the international map."
With the final night likened to a symphony of light, sound and emotion, DIFF 2025 left a strong impression not only with its unbeatable fireworks display, but also with its artistic spirit, cultural connection and lasting appeal.
Da Nang proves once again that this is not only a city of bridges and blue seas, but also the capital of dreams shining brightly in the night sky.
