On the afternoon of May 31, the Department of Information and Communications of Nam Dinh province held a press conference for May 2023. At the conference, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hong, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of Nam Dinh province, provided detailed information on preparations for the 2023 high school graduation exam.

Accordingly, in the national high school competition for excellent students in the 2022-2023 school year, Nam Dinh had 73/93 students participating in the competition winning prizes (3 first prizes, 23 second prizes, 25 third prizes, 22 consolation prizes), the winning rate was 78.49%, maintaining the achievement in the group of 5 localities with the highest number of prizes nationwide; 7 students were called to attend the Olympic team selection exam in 2023.
At the national science and technology competition for the 2022-2023 school year, a project by a student from Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted won first prize and was selected by the Ministry of Education and Training to participate in the international science and technology competition in the US.
In addition, a group of 4 students from Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted won a gold medal at the 2023 WICO World Invention and Creativity Olympiad; a group of 2 students from Ly Tu Trong High School with an excellent STEM project was among the top 30 STEM projects selected by the Organization of Southeast Asian Ministersof Education to attend the 2023 Southeast Asian STEM Education Exhibition in Thailand; a group of 3 students from Nguyen Hien Secondary School, Nam Truc District won second prize in the 2023 National VEX IQ Robotics Competition and were selected into the top 20 teams to participate in the 2023 VEX Robotics World Championship .
At the final round of the World Office Skills Championship - Viettel 2023 (MOSW-Viettel 2023), 9/9 students from Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted won prizes (1 first prize, 5 second prizes, 2 third prizes, 1 consolation prize). Student Dang Thi Minh Anh, grade 12 English 2 major, became the new national champion of the Microsoft Word 2016 contest and will represent Vietnam to compete in the MOSWC 2023 world finals held in the US.
This is the 5th consecutive time Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted has had students participate in the MOSWC world finals.
