Attending the program were comrade Nguyen Tho Truyen, Deputy Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, and many artists from the three cities. The conference was chaired by Mr. Tran Quoc Chiem, Chairman of the Hanoi Union of Literature and Arts Associations; Mr. Ho Dang Thanh Ngoc, Chairman of the Hue Union of Literature and Arts Associations and Mr. Nguyen Truong Luu, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Union of Literature and Arts Associations.

The cultural and artistic exchange activities between the three cities: Hanoi - Hue - Ho Chi Minh City aim to honor the great contributions of culture and art in reflecting, marking and creating the great epic of the Vietnamese people during the 50 years since the country's reunification. Along with that is to strengthen cooperation, promote historical, cultural and artistic values that have been shaped and developed in the three major cultural centers of the country.

In addition, this activity is also an opportunity for artists from the three cities to interact, learn, and share experiences, gradually improving the quality of their creations and promoting their works. Thereby encouraging and inspiring the younger generation to inherit and promote the quintessence of national culture and art.

With 16 presentations in the fields of literature, music , theater, fine arts, dance, folk arts... the conference opened up a space for inter-regional dialogue, linking the past - present - future to affirm that in the harmony of the three regions of North - Central - South, represented by Hanoi - Hue - Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnamese literature and arts have formed a polyphonic and unified whole.

Writer Ho Dang Thanh Ngoc, Chairman of the Hue City Literature and Arts Association, said that the workshop showed that the literature and arts of the three cities converge in identity and spread aspirations. That is a Hanoi considered the center of national culture, intelligence and art; a Hue with a rich cultural and artistic identity, symbols and emotions. Along with that is a Ho Chi Minh City, the land of cultural and artistic action, integration and innovation.
“The half-century of peaceful and unified literature and art is also a time of balance between the 20th and 21st centuries. It is also a time when the whole world has experienced unprecedented violent changes. More than anyone else, artists are sensitive to the new, must have a code of conduct to awaken human conscience, bringing people back to their inherent cultural and humanistic nature. The profound human nature of revolutionary artistic creation is that in any social condition or circumstance, artists must devote all their talents and efforts to discovering, protecting, nurturing, and affirming the good and noble things of humanity,” writer Ho Dang Thanh Ngoc expressed.

According to writer Ho Dang Thanh Ngoc, in the 50 years since the country was unified and entered the renovation period, the literature and arts of Hanoi - Hue - Ho Chi Minh City have had great achievements, long strides in the historical process of national literature. Literature and arts have gone deep into exploration and discovery, with many unique and creative works. However, the literature and arts of the three cities also face challenges: deviation from market standards, lack of great literature and arts works. In the face of today's chaotic and busy life, literature and arts have not yet effectively promoted their strength and still face many difficulties.

The Exhibition of Architecture, Fine Arts, Photography, and Literary Books is one of the activities within the framework of cultural and artistic exchange between the three cities. The exhibition takes place at the Headquarters of the Union of Literature and Arts Associations of Ho Chi Minh City (No. 81, Tran Quoc Thao Street, Vo Thi Sau Ward, District 3). Here, the public has the opportunity to enjoy images of iconic architectural works of historical and artistic value in Hanoi, Hue, and Ho Chi Minh City; typical paintings and sculptures reflecting life, people, and historical milestones after 1975; photos recording historical moments, the beauty of the country and people of Vietnam over the past 50 years; typical literary works, and award-winning works from 1975 to the present.
