iPhone 17 release date revealed

(Dan Tri) - According to some internal sources collected by MacRumors, Apple will hold an event to introduce the iPhone 17 generation on September 9. On September 12, the company will start accepting pre-orders.

Previous leaks indicate that the 2025 iPhone generation will have four products, including the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air (replacing the Plus line), iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max.

Alongside the iPhone 17, Apple is likely to announce a number of new products such as the Apple Watch SE 3, Apple Watch Series 11, Apple Watch Ultra 3, and AirPods Pro 3 wireless headphones.

As per Apple's tradition, the company will likely send out event invites starting September 2.

A report from MacRumors said that Apple will increase the price of the entire iPhone 17 product line by $50. This move is to compensate for the continuously increasing component costs, as well as the impact of the new tariff policy between the US and China.

Currently, the iPhone 16 lineup starts at $799, while the iPhone 16 Pro Max starts at $1,199. If the information is accurate, the iPhone 17 will start at $849, while the iPhone 17 Pro Max will start at $1,249.

The camera system on the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max is expected to receive a series of upgrades. Specifically, the iPhone 17 Pro is expected to support optical zoom up to 5x, while the Pro Max version can reach 8x optical zoom.

Additionally, Apple is said to be adding a new button next to the existing Camera Control button that will act as a secondary Camera Control button, giving users quick access to the camera and related settings.

This information shows that Apple is aiming to turn the iPhone 17 Pro into a powerful video recording tool, targeting the vlogger community and content creators.

Regarding the screen, the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max duo are expected to have significant improvements to limit scratches and minimize external light reflection.
