Accordingly, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung signed a Decision to include Ba Chiem Son Festival in the list of National Intangible Cultural Heritage in the category of Traditional Festival.
Ba Chiem Son Festival is listed as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage in the category of Traditional Festival.
Previously, the People's Committee of Quang Nam province sent an official dispatch to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism requesting to include this Festival in the list of national intangible cultural heritage.
The document highlights that the Ba Chiem Son Festival plays an important economic role when the cultural values of the Festival are unique cultural products, creating an attractive spiritual cultural tourism environment, attracting tourists to visit and experience, helping to increase income for local communities.
The Ba Chiem Son Festival in Duy Trinh commune is held from the 10th to the 12th of the first lunar month every year to commemorate and show gratitude to Ba Chiem Son/Bo Bo Thai Duong Lady for her support, protection, and protection of the community of residents of Chiem Son village in particular and the Thu Bon riverside area in general.
The worship of Lady Chiem Son is a unique cultural feature of the Vietnamese people here, in the similarity with the goddess worship of the Vietnamese people.
