The afternoon quickly fell on Truong Sa Lon Island. The sun was just mild, the sea breeze carried a familiar salty taste wafting through the unit yard. In the radar station, Station 11, Lieutenant Nguyen Van Lieu - Station Chief was practicing combat readiness plans with the combat crew. His eyes were attentively following every movement on the oscilloscope screen, his hands quickly adjusting the technical parameters. The entire crew was in position. Suddenly the landline phone rang repeatedly: "Observation eye report! Direction 14, strange group of aircraft appeared...". Immediately, the entire crew operated like a precise "machine", some identified the target, some compared, some transmitted signals... All information was quickly processed and reported to the Regiment headquarters.

Officers and soldiers of Radar Station 11 increased production, improved their lives, and achieved practical results towards the Congress.

At the end of the training session, Lieutenant Nguyen Van Lieu confided: “Although we did not directly prepare and attend the Congress, we always followed every part of the work and headed towards the Congress in our own way: Sticking to the machine, sticking to the radio, maintaining smooth communication. Each rotation of the antenna, each peaceful, precise signal… is the most sacred greeting that we, the people at the forefront of the wind and waves, send to the mainland.”

Not only at Radar Station 11, but also on the entire remote island line of Regiment 292, Division 377, the atmosphere of the peak emulation period to welcome the Congress was vibrant and spread to each person, each shift and permeated in each task. In harsh weather conditions, officers and soldiers still steadfastly stuck to the machine, stuck to the radio, ensuring technical coefficients, equipment, and successfully completed all assigned tasks. From the beginning of the second quarter of 2025 to now, the units have organized hundreds of combat plan drills, skillfully handled situations, and maintained the air defense posture on the island line of the Fatherland.

Although far from the mainland, the contributions reflect the will and aspirations of organizations and each cadre, party member and the masses were fully and honestly compiled and sent to the mainland. This is the basis for perfecting the contents and targets in the draft documents in line with the requirements of the tasks and practices of the unit.

Lieutenant Nguyen Van Duc, Head of Radar Station 57, Regiment 292, said: “I have contributed my opinions to the draft political report to be submitted to the 14th National Party Congress. Like many other Party members, I feel honored, proud and have a greater sense of responsibility when contributing to important tasks and decisions of the Party and the country.”

This is not only a political responsibility, but also a vivid expression of faith, will and aspiration to contribute.
