Kia Carens Clavis EV - Strategic Electric MPV Coming to Asia
Recently, Kia has teased the first images of the all-new pure electric MPV hybrid SUV called Carens Clavis EV.

According to the manufacturer, the Carens Clavis EV will officially launch on July 15 with many outstanding features, the most notable of which is the 7-seat configuration and an operating range of up to 490 km after each full charge, according to MIDC standards. The car is equipped with a 51.4 kWh battery pack, showing its ambition to compete fairly with rivals in the same price range. In terms of design, the Carens Clavis EV retains the familiar look of the current Carens line, but has been refined with many details that are typical of electric vehicles. The LED daytime running lights in a continuous strip at the front, seamless LED taillights, a front charging compartment, aerodynamically optimized wheels and sporty underbody panels are notable highlights.
The interior space of the Carens Clavis EV is optimized to serve the needs of families, with a series of notable amenities. The car has a cluster of two digital screens including a dashboard and entertainment system, a floating center console, a panoramic sunroof,... The car is equipped with ventilated front seats, an intelligent air filtration system and a premium 8-speaker BOSE sound system. These features not only enhance the user experience but also show Kia's efforts to balance convenience and affordable price.
In terms of safety, the Carens Clavis EV is equipped with a level 2 advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) with about 20 features, including intelligent cruise control, lane keeping assist, collision warning and automatic emergency braking... In addition, the car is also equipped with 6 airbags, electronic balance system (ESC), hill start assist, downhill control and disc brakes on all four wheels, ensuring maximum safety for users in all operating conditions. The Carens Clavis EV is expected to share the same powertrain platform as the Hyundai Creta Electric, with two battery options: 42 kWh and 51.4 kWh. In the high-end version, the car can reach a maximum capacity of up to 171 horsepower, providing strong performance in the popular electric SUV segment.
In addition, this model also supports 50 kW DC fast charging, allowing charging from 10% to 80% of the battery capacity in less than an hour, flexibly meeting both daily urban travel needs and long weekend trips.
