Inauguration of Dong Van Ancient Town Gate

The Party Committee and People's Committee of Dong Van commune have just held the inauguration ceremony of the Dong Van Ancient Town Gate. This is a project to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2; to welcome the Tuyen Quang Provincial Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term and the 14th National Congress of the Party.

Dong Van Ancient Town Gate started construction in July 2025, with a total investment of over 300 million VND, 100% funded by socialized capital. After 2 months of construction, the project has now been completed and put into use. The gate is built in the unique traditional architecture of the Mong people on the Dong Van Stone Plateau, with stone pillars and a roof covered with yin-yang tiles.

The project was built according to the wishes of the people in the commune, the construction unit is 100% artisans and local people. This is a symbol of the will, bearing the traditional architecture of the Mong people, the pride of the local people on the Dong Van Stone Plateau.

The handover and putting into use of the project on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day September 2 is a new highlight in the Old Quarter space, serving tourists to visit, experience and check in at Dong Van Old Quarter.
