According to a fan on X, rapper Kanye West arrived 45 minutes late for his performance at Shanghai Stadium on the evening of July 12.

"It was so hard to get tickets to see him in Shanghai. So excited! I couldn't sleep the night before. But... this is the worst concert I've ever seen. Kanye West, you can do better," the netizen added.

Concertgoers claimed the 48-year-old Gold Digger "mainly lip-synced" throughout the performance and "his microphone was on less than 20% of the time".
The fan also alleged that the 24-time Grammy Award-winning artist "disappeared for over 20 minutes at a time" while his popular songs, such as Wolves , played "without him being seen".
"I can listen to your music at home. Came here to see you perform," the fan tweeted.
Additionally, the audience, who paid $260 per ticket, insisted that West "stay in a circle so no one can see him up close even if you're a VIP" and "wear a mask before and after the show."

Video also appeared on X showing crowds in Shanghai chanting slogans demanding refunds in their native language.
Kanye West did not address the controversy, only thanking his fans in China for their support. "Thank you to my fans in China and the Chinese government . The energy is amazing. Love you all forever," the father of four tweeted.
Rapper Kanye West continues to perform in Slovakia from July 18-20 and in Korea on July 26.
