In order to raise public awareness and promote preventive actions, the Ministry of Health, in collaboration with MSD Vietnam, is implementing the national communication campaign “For a Vietnam without the burden of HPV”. The campaign aims to provide accurate medical information and disseminate knowledge through community health education programs in many localities across the country.
One of the highlights of the campaign is an AI-powered community exhibition that provides an interactive experience to help people learn about HPV, how to prevent it, and the role of vaccination.
Professor Phan Trong Lan, Director of the National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology, said: “Vaccines are a revolutionary achievement in preventive medicine, giving us a powerful tool to prevent HPV-related cancers from the root. Science has provided a clear and proven solution.” He emphasized the importance of regular screening, maintaining a healthy lifestyle and proactively accessing modern medical advances.
The campaign was launched by the Ministry of Health on March 29 with the participation of Deputy Minister of Health Do Xuan Tuyen, leaders of the Vietnam Women's Union, US Ambassador to Vietnam Marc E. Knapper, and representatives of international organizations.
Within the framework of the campaign, a series of scientific seminars were held, bringing together thousands of medical staff and professional speakers from many specialties such as preventive medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, dermatology and oncology.
