Less than a month after its launch in the Vietnamese market, Isuzu mu-X 2025 has been offered incentives of up to 20 million VND by dealers.

Specifically, customers who buy the standard Isuzu mu-X B7 version are receiving a discount of 14 million VND, the B7 Plus version is receiving a discount of 16 million VND, the two Prestige and Sport versions are receiving a discount of 18 million VND, while the highest-end Premium version is receiving a discount of 20 million VND. With this discount, the actual selling price of the car at the dealer ranges from 914 million to 1,249 billion VND. This incentive level makes the selling price of the mu-X 2025 close to the listed price of the previous version. However, according to the dealer's assessment, this is still not an attractive enough price to stimulate car buying demand, especially in the context of fierce market competition and consumers have many other options with higher incentives.
At some dealers, the 2023 mu-X (VIN 2023) is still being cleared of inventory with incentives of up to 100 million VND. The overlap between the two product generations puts the 2025 mu-X in a difficult position when competing with its "predecessor". Compared to competitors in the same D-segment SUV segment, the discount of the 2025 mu-X is still modest. Ford Everest - the best-selling model in the segment is currently being promoted up to 100% of the registration fee. It is estimated that customers buying the standard version of Everest can save nearly 100 million VND, making this option more attractive financially. Despite being upgraded in design and equipment, the Isuzu mu-X has not yet made a breakthrough in sales in Vietnam. In the first 5 months of 2025, this SUV model sold only 109 vehicles, ranking second to last in the segment, only surpassing the Mitsubishi Pajero Sport with 48 vehicles. However, it should be noted that the Pajero Sport has almost stopped selling in the Vietnamese market, many dealers have no more vehicles to deliver and the company has not announced plans to launch a new generation.
Isuzu mu-X 2025 launched in Vietnam market with 5 versions, with prices ranging from 928 million to 1,269 billion VND. This is a mid-life upgrade, with no changes in chassis or transmission, but with some tweaks in design and equipment. Inside the cabin, the most notable change is the mechanical speedometer cluster replaced by a digital combination with a 7-inch color screen. The car has some notable amenities including: 8-way power driver's seat, 9-inch central screen integrated with wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, USB Type-C charging port, electronic handbrake and dual-zone automatic air conditioning. However, the downside is that the 2025 mu-X still uses a 1.9L turbocharged diesel engine, 147 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque, combined with a 6-speed manual or automatic transmission, which is considered not powerful enough compared to the general level in the segment. Isuzu has upgraded the safety system for the mu-X 2025 with a 4th generation ADAS camera, with a wide scanning angle of 40 to 120 degrees. In addition, the car is equipped with a series of driver assistance technologies such as: automatic emergency braking, blind spot warning, forward collision warning, lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, automatic braking when reversing and rear cross-traffic warning.
In terms of exterior, the 2025 mu-X has a new front and rear end in a sportier and more modern style. The large grille is separated from the sharp LED headlights. New LED taillights run across the rear of the car. The Sport version is added to the product catalog, and the car uses a set of 20-inch 6-spoke wheels. Despite the addition of additional equipment, the 2025 mu-X still needs more effort to win over customers, especially in the context of the fiercely competitive D-class SUV market, with the strong presence of names such as Ford Everest, Toyota Fortuner, Hyundai Santa Fe or Mazda CX-8.
