Ms. Thuy's orchid garden currently has many diverse and popular types of orchids.

With more than 6 stars of specialized land, Ms. Thuy not only achieved economic success but also contributed to affirming the value of the Vietnamese orchid industry.

Ms. Thuy said that about 20 years ago, she started her career by growing Cymbidiums, a traditional flower that is popular with many people. However, realizing that the weather was getting hotter and hotter, directly affecting the growth of Cymbidiums, in 2008, she made a bold and strategic decision: Switching to growing Dancing Lady Orchids, a flower that is considered to prefer warmer climates.

To master the technique of growing dancing orchids, Ms. Thuy has constantly learned. She has researched through books, documents, and actively exchanged experiences with those who have gone before her in the profession. Thanks to that, caring for dancing orchids, although requiring meticulousness, is not too difficult for her. To grow and care for this flower, on average, a dancing orchid needs about 2 years from the time of care until it is ready to be sold on the market.

According to Ms. Thuy, one of the important factors contributing to the success of this model is the stable output market all year round with good prices. Ms. Thuy has built a diverse and flexible distribution channel system. The traditional channel includes selling pots directly and wholesaling to sources and stores for resale to retail customers. This helps her maintain a stable distribution network and achieve large sales volume. In addition, she quickly grasped the e-commerce trend by selling to people who livestream online. Thereby, reaching a wider customer base, especially young people.

In particular, she also has a large number of regular customers from the time she grew orchids, mainly concentrated in big cities such as Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi and many provinces and cities across the country. These are the main consumer markets for orchids, where there is high purchasing power and great demand for decorative flowers and gifts. This not only ensures stable output but also shows that the reputation and quality of her products have been built and maintained over decades... During the Lunar New Year, the demand for dancing orchids increases, Ms. Thuy flexibly provides both cut orchids and potted orchids, meeting the diverse needs of customers.

Not stopping at the success with dancing orchids, Ms. Thuy also demonstrated her vision and ability to grasp new market trends. Currently, in her garden, she is growing air plants (Tillandsia or Air Plant) imported from Thailand and she is in the process of cloning this plant. Air plants are a unique ornamental plant, increasingly popular in Vietnam. Their special feature is the ability to grow without soil, absorbing nutrients from the air or morning dew. Originating from the mountainous regions of Central and South America, air plants were introduced to Vietnam in 2012 and quickly became a trend in home and office decoration. They are loved for their unique beauty, diversity of species (more than 600 species in the world, 3 common species in Vietnam), easy care and excellent air filtering ability. This is also a new direction full of potential, showing her constant research and creativity in developing the agricultural economy.

The story of Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Thuy is a clear proof that with perseverance, effort to learn and adaptability, farmers can completely achieve high and stable income from effective agricultural models.
