Before the provincial merger, Lam Dong, Binh Thuan , and Dak Nong (old) provinces established provincial Steering Committees to implement Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation and Decision No. 204-QD/TW of the Secretariat on approving the Digital Transformation Project in Party agencies.

Chief of the Provincial Party Committee Office Nguyen Khac Binh reported briefly on the implementation of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW and Decision No. 204-QD/TW in the province.

To ensure the leadership and direction of the implementation of Resolution No. 57 and Decision No. 204 in the new period are consistent and timely, the Provincial Party Standing Committee has issued an Action Plan and established a Steering Committee for science , technology, innovation and digital transformation development in Lam Dong province.

Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Board Ton Thien Dong contributed ideas on mechanisms and policies to attract IT human resources.

In recent times, the province has demonstrated a positive, proactive and responsible spirit in implementing Resolution No. 57 and Decision No. 204-QD/TW. Digital transformation has seen clear changes, especially in the fields of agriculture, education, healthcare and e-government. Investment in science and technology has been increased, focusing on key areas.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Ngoc Phuc contributed ideas on upgrading equipment infrastructure and technology infrastructure.

The implementation of digital transformation, maintenance of shared information systems and ensuring interconnected and synchronous operations to serve state agencies in directing and operating in the digital environment according to the 2-level local government model have initially achieved positive results.

To date, the province has completed an online conference system connecting with 124 commune-level bridges; deployed an administrative procedure settlement system, connected to the national database, and publicized 2,225 administrative procedures. Lam Dong ranks 4th out of 34 nationwide in terms of public service quality.

For the digital social movement, the province has deployed the Handbook and the Digital Popular Education Platform, launching a province-wide movement.

At the meeting, the members of the Steering Committee focused on discussing and contributing opinions on the drafts: Regulations on functions, tasks, powers, working regime, working relations of the Steering Committee; Working regulations of the Steering Committee; Work program for 2025 of the Provincial Steering Committee; Notice of assignment of tasks to members of the Steering Committee; Decision to establish a Steering Committee Support Team.

At the same time, propose tasks in sectors, fields, and solutions to effectively implement Resolution 57 and Decision 204 to promote the development of science, technology, innovation and digital transformation in the province.

Many opinions say that, given the current shortage of IT staff at the commune level, there needs to be a recruitment mechanism and policy to attract this force, in order to meet the requirements of the tasks in the new period.

At the same time, pay attention to investing and upgrading equipment at the Public Administration Service Centers at the commune level in conjunction with innovating the handling of administrative procedures, improving the quality of online public services and digital services for people and businesses, towards providing comprehensive online public services.

In addition, prioritize digitization and synchronization of data of departments and branches in the province; promote the development of digital infrastructure associated with local strengths.
