On the morning of September 16, the People's Committee of Dak Lak province held a conference to summarize the implementation of the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the province.
To implement the goals and tasks in Directive No. 42/CT-TTg dated November 9, 2024 of the Prime Minister on accelerating the implementation of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide and the Prime Minister's Directive Telegrams, Dak Lak province has issued many specific directives, assigning clear tasks to all levels, sectors, armed forces , and localities.
The province also mobilized all people in the province to actively participate with a spirit of urgency and full concentration, rapidly implementing the work of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in the province.
After more than 8 months of urgent implementation with the participation of the entire political system and high determination, as of August 15, 2025, the whole Dak Lak province has completed and handed over a total of 8,915 newly built and repaired houses , of which 6,828 were newly built and 2,087 were repaired, reaching 100% of the plan.
The total budget to support the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses in the province is more than 697.8 billion VND, of which the central government supports more than 292.9 billion VND, the budget from the 5% savings source on regular expenditure in 2024 is more than 139.7 billion VND, the local budget is more than 132.4 billion VND; contributions from families are more than 107 billion VND, and other socialized sources are more than 25.7 billion VND.
The program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses has profound humanistic significance, demonstrating the care of the Party, the State and the whole society for families with revolutionary contributions, poor households, near-poor households with difficult circumstances; demonstrating the spirit of "the whole leaves cover the torn leaves", "leaving no one behind".
In addition, the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses also strengthens people's trust in the Party and State; ensures social security, maintains political stability and social order, and brings about clear social effects, contributing significantly to the socio-economic development of Dak Lak province.
At the conference, Dong Nai province leaders presented Dak Lak province with 38 billion VND to serve the work of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses.
The People's Committee of Dak Lak province awarded certificates of merit to 14 collectives and 16 individuals with outstanding achievements in the national movement to join hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the province by 2025.
