Putting education and training at the heart of national development

Resolution 71/NQ-TW, dated August 22, 2025 of the Politburo focuses on making a breakthrough in education and training development by affirming the decisive role of education in the destiny of the nation, upgrading special preferential policies for teachers, granting autonomy, socializing and modernizing schools and classrooms, and setting the goal of improving the quality of education to meet international standards by 2045.

According to Resolution 71/NQ-TW (Resolution 71), deeply and fully understand and consistently implement the viewpoint that education and training is the top national policy, deciding the future of the nation. Developing education and training is the cause of the Party, the State and the entire people. In which, the State plays the role of strategic orientation, creating development, ensuring resources and equity in education. Ensuring enough schools, enough classes, enough teachers to meet the learning needs of the people. The whole society has the responsibility to care for, participate in contributing resources and supervising the development of education and training. At the same time, promote the nation's tradition of studiousness, build a learning society, strongly arouse emulation movements among the people and the entire society on learning, self-learning, continuous learning, lifelong learning for the cause of rapid and sustainable development of the country, for the future of the nation. Learners are the center, the subject of the education and training process, schools are the foundation, teachers are the driving force, deciding the quality of education and training. Implement the motto "teachers are teachers, students are students" in terms of ethics, personality, knowledge, resolutely correct negative aspects in education, respect the honor of teachers, honor teachers in society. Especially education ensures harmony between national, comprehensive and specialized, national and global. Develop education and training on the basis of culture, traditional national values, at the same time absorb the quintessence of humanity, international standards, educate and train Vietnamese citizens to become global citizens.

Also according to Resolution 71, education and training must ensure "learning goes hand in hand with practice", "theory is closely linked to practice", "school is closely linked to society". Preschool and general education are the foundation for personality formation, development of learners' qualities and capacities. Vocational education plays a key role in developing a highly skilled workforce. Higher education is the core for developing highly qualified human resources and talents, promoting the development of science , technology and innovation. Breakthroughs in education and training development must start from innovation in thinking, awareness and institutions. Create breakthroughs in resources, motivation and new space for education and training development, improve quality, ensure the State plays a leading role, takes public investment as the leader, and attracts social resources for comprehensive modernization of the national education system. Public education is the mainstay, non-public education is an important component of the national education system, building an open and interconnected education system, ensuring fair and equal learning opportunities for everyone, meeting social needs, and promoting lifelong learning.

In recent years, the quality of comprehensive education in Lam Dong province has been maintained stably, with emphasis on key education. The goal of the province and the education and training sector of the province is to improve the quality of comprehensive education at all levels. Therefore, the province has oriented to improve the training quality of universities, closely linked with training and scientific research facilities in the province. The 2025-2026 school year is considered a school year of trust and determination to innovate in depth, improve the quality of education and training, and meet the development requirements in the new period of Lam Dong province.

In the long term, the province's education and training sector will continue to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of educational management, innovate school governance, innovate programs, and improve the quality of general, preschool and continuing education. At the same time, develop a team of teachers and managers to meet the requirements of educational innovation, improve the efficiency of investment in facilities, use the budget reasonably and mobilize social resources, promote digital transformation, and administrative reform in education...

It is expected that in the coming years, the province will form a synchronous and modern education and training system, capable of providing high-quality human resources, especially in the fields of marine economy, tourism, technology and innovation. Thereby, meeting the requirements of sustainable development of the locality and the country in the new era.
