K. recounted that at 1:00 a.m. on September 13, while sleeping, he was startled by screams from the neighbor's house next door. A moment later, K. heard knocking on the door and cries for help from behind his house.

Opening the door, K. discovered Tran Tan P. (the victim) outside, bleeding profusely from a deep cut that could see the bone. Seeing this, K. brought P. into the house and locked the door.

After that, K. gave P. water to drink. At around 3:00 a.m., when the police arrived, K. opened the door to take P. to the emergency room. Currently, P.'s health has gradually stabilized.

Sharing with VietNamNet reporter , K. said that at that time he was very scared, but seeing his friend was seriously injured, he opened the door and brought him into the house. When he looked through the window and saw many police officers outside the gate, K. knew it was safe so he opened the door so that everyone could take P. to the emergency room.

"When I brought P. into the house, I was very scared. Even though P. was stabbed, he didn't cry because we were both panicking. At that time, there was only me and my grandmother at home, so I was even more scared," K. said.

Dream of learning auto repair

K. has a very difficult situation. Her father is Khmer, her mother is Ede, but they separated when K. and her sister were young.

Currently, the two K. sisters live with their grandmother. However, the grandmother suffered a stroke and is bedridden. The lives of the three of them mainly depend on the help of their aunt.

"In the future, I want to go to school to learn auto repair so I can have money to build a house for my grandmother and sister to live in," K. shared.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Giang - Vice Principal of Tran Quoc Tuan Primary School (Thanh Nhat Ward) - said that K. is a 5th grade student at the school and is considered a good student. Due to his special circumstances, he is regularly cared for and helped by the school and teachers.

The school always prioritizes creating the best conditions for K. to study. Every time the school calls for donors, K. is also the first to receive support.

"Recently, at the beginning of the new school year, all teachers in the school contributed more than 2 million VND to support K., some people even gave her new clothes and sandals. The school also hopes that the authorities will soon complete the application for an identification code so that she can enjoy the policies of the Party and the State," Ms. Giang shared.

Ms. Thach Thi Thanh Thuy (K.'s aunt) said that her younger brother and his wife did not register their marriage. A few months after K.'s birth, they each went their separate ways, leaving the child to be raised by the grandmother.

Mrs. Thuy's house is next to K.'s house, but she and her husband often go to work on the farm 65km away, so raising the children is very difficult. However, she will try to find every way to take care of the two children more systematically.

"Because my grandmother is bedridden, I will have to arrange time for my two children to go to school. I really hope that the authorities will create conditions for them to get ID cards so that they can buy insurance, so that it will be easier to take them to the doctor if they get sick," Ms. Thuy shared.

Vice President of the province gives bonus

On September 14, when visiting and encouraging the family of the victim of the tragedy, Mr. Nguyen Thien Van - Vice Chairman of Dak Lak province - met and praised the brave and intelligent spirit of K.
