The annual iPhone launch event takes place on Monday, September 9 at the Apple Park campus in Cupertino, California, starting at 10 a.m. local time.
Similar to previous iPhone launch events, Apple will combine live press experience and live broadcast. However, only a few prominent units will receive invitations from Apple.
At the event, Apple is expected to launch the iPhone 16 series, Apple Watch and Air Pods 4. In addition, Apple will also announce the official release date of iOS 18, macOS Sequoia and other software.
Apple is also expected to introduce a new A series chip to upgrade performance on new mobile devices.
While there are no significant new features for the standard iPhone 16, the Pro line will get an upgrade in screen size to 6.3 inches on the 16 Pro and 6.9 inches on the 16 Pro Max; both models will also use the exclusive 5x telephoto zoom camera on the Pro Max.
Some speculation suggests that Apple will introduce the next generation Apple Watch line including the traditional series and a new Ultra model with high performance and new health features.
AirPods 4 is expected to be the replacement for AirPods 3 which was launched 3 years ago.
