Today, May 30, more than 11,400 candidates across Quang Tri province completed the first day of the 10th grade High School Entrance Exam for the 2024-2025 school year with 3 subjects: Math, English and Literature.

The first day of the 10th grade entrance exam took place seriously and in accordance with regulations. According to the exam schedule, in the morning, candidates took the Math (90 minutes) and English (60 minutes) exams; in the afternoon, candidates took the Literature exam (120 minutes). The whole province had 225 candidates absent from the Math exam, 225 candidates absent from the English exam and 237 candidates absent from the Literature exam.

According to many candidates at the Gio Linh High School exam site, most of them did quite well. Candidate Le Thi Lien Hoa, a student at Gio Linh Town Middle School, said that Math was a bit difficult, especially the last question for good students; English was more within her ability.
Regarding the Literature subject, candidate Nguyen Van Kiet, a student at Kim Thach Secondary School, Vinh Linh District, confidently said: “The Literature exam was very good and not too difficult, so I think most candidates will do well on the exam. I personally was quite satisfied with this exam and felt emotional about the poem Visiting Uncle Ho's Mausoleum, so I focused on doing the test quite smoothly.”
In general, the examination sites have strictly implemented the examination regulations, promoting a sense of responsibility so that the examination takes place safely and in accordance with regulations.
Accompanying theeducation sector in organizing the exam are many forces from the health sector, police, youth union... proactively coordinating to effectively implement the work, ensuring absolute safety.
In Dakrong district, the Youth Union of Dakrong High School and commune unions and volunteer organizations have paid attention to and implemented many practical and effective activities to support candidates.
Secretary of the Dakrong High School Youth Union Nguyen Phuong Nam said that the candidates participating at Dakrong High School are mostly ethnic minorities, in difficult circumstances and far from the exam location. The school's Youth Union has coordinated with commune unions and philanthropists to support 200 free lunches and drinks for the candidates; arranged for 30 candidates to stay for a lunch break and many other practical activities to help them ensure their health and comfortable mentality to complete the exam well.
The 10th grade high school entrance exam for the 2024-2025 school year will be held at 34 testing locations with 500 testing rooms across the province. The number of candidates taking the 10th grade high school entrance exam this year is nearly 2,000 more than the number of candidates taking the exam for the 2023-2024 school year.

On May 31, 605 candidates registered for the entrance exam to Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted continued to take the specialized subjects: Math, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English, Information Technology, Literature, History and Geography, each subject lasting 150 minutes. In the afternoon of the same day, candidates took the English speaking test.
