Como's Ambition

Como have made a €20m bid to sign centre-back Davinson Sanchez from Galatasaray, underlining their ambitions in the summer transfer market.

Sanchez is expected to bring stability to Como's defense.

According to Fanatik , Como are willing to pay a basic transfer fee of €18 million, plus €2 million in performance-based bonuses for the Colombian centre-back. This total transfer package of €20 million is considered an attractive offer, especially when Galatasaray only spent €9.5 million to sign Sanchez from Tottenham Hotspur in September 2023.

Sanchez's current contract with Galatasaray runs until June 2027, with an option to extend for a further year, but an offer from Como could convince the Turkish side to let him go.

Como's pursuit of Sanchez is a testament to their ambition. With experience at Ajax, Tottenham, and Galatasaray, and a versatile player, Sanchez is expected to bring stability to a Como defence that conceded 48 goals in the 2024/25 Serie A season.

Coach Fàbregas highly values Sanchez's ability to read the game and his physical strength, seeing him as an ideal piece to upgrade the squad. If the deal is successful, Como will become the Serie A club with the most spending money in the summer transfer window of 2025.

Previously, the newly promoted Serie A team last season recruited a number of notable contracts, such as Jesus Rodriguez (22.5 million), Baturina (18 million), Álex Valle, Van der Brempt and Fellipe Jack.

In just half a year, Como has spent more than 100 million euros on transfers. The club is also renovating the Giuseppe Sinigaglia stadium and building a modern training center.
