On the afternoon of July 16, news from the Department of Education and Training of Can Tho City said that according to the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam announced by the Ministry of Education and Training, literature is a big bright spot for the city, with an average score of 7.259, ranking 5th out of 34 provinces and cities with the highest literature exam scores in the country.
Can Tho is in the top 5 nationwide in terms of literature scores in the 2025 high school graduation exam.

Can Tho is also in the top 10 provinces and cities with the most 10 points in the following subjects: information technology (ranked 2nd in the country, with 7 candidates achieving perfect scores); technology - agriculture (ranked 6th, with 5 candidates achieving 10 points); biology (ranked 10th, with 2 candidates achieving 10 points).
According to the representative of the Department of Education and Training of Can Tho City, the 2025 high school graduation exam is a clear demonstration of the innovative efforts of the entire city'seducation sector in implementing the 2018 General Education Program. The results achieved are the motivation and basis to continue improving the quality of general education in the coming period, aiming at the goal of developing high-quality human resources for the city and the Mekong Delta region.
In the 2025 high school graduation exam, Can Tho City (after the merger) has 32,676 candidates registered to take the exam. Of which, there are 13,776 candidates in Can Tho City (old); 7,426 candidates in Hau Giang province (old) and 11,474 candidates in Soc Trang province (old).
