Women's Union of Thac Ba commune trains women on gender and economic autonomy

The Women's Union of Thac Ba commune has just coordinated with the Center for Supporting Sustainable Development of Ethnic Communities in Mountainous Areas (SUDECOM) and the Center for Community Capacity Building to organize a training course on gender equality and economic autonomy for women.

The training was attended by 30 members from livelihood cooperatives and household groups supported by SUDECOM (with representative office on Nguyen Tat Thanh street, Van Phu ward).

Organizing committee to propagate the law on protection of women and children

The training course takes place over 2 days (July 16 - 17, 2025).

During the training, trainees were taught the following topics: gender equality, gender mainstreaming; legal regulations on the protection of women and children; building happy families, reducing gender stereotypes and increasing women's economic management rights.

In addition, the training course also provides time for trainees to participate in group discussions and share project implementation experiences.

The program aims to raise awareness, change gender stereotypes, replicate knowledge-providing models and strengthen the voices of women and children.

Through the activities, the training course hopes to create positive changes in the community, encourage men to share household chores, support women to participate in economic management, thereby building an equal and safe environment. This model also aims to protect and better care for women and children, contributing to the implementation of gender equality and sustainable development goals in the locality.
