Ahead of the match against Malaysia tomorrow (June 10), Coach Kim Sang Sik said his team is well prepared and ready to seek victory on the away field. He and his players are in a calm mood.

“I don’t feel any pressure before this match, because I always try to think positively rather than putting pressure on myself. I want to focus on each training session, bringing optimism into the match," Coach Kim Sang Sik shared.

Besides, Coach Kim Sang Sik is quite confident when saying: “In fact, in the past 10 years, Vietnam has always maintained that and achieved good results against Malaysia. Duy Manh, my current student, is the clearest witness to Vietnam's victories against Malaysia. I want to emphasize that only we ourselves can decide the fate of the team, instead of depending on any other issues.”

Talking about the home team's naturalized players, Mr. Kim Sang Sik shared that he did not have much information about them, but he knew that Malaysia was very well prepared for this important match.

"I know that 18 out of 30 players registered in the 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers are of foreign origin, and I really don't have much information about them. We will try our best in this match," said coach Kim.

The Korean coach believes that this is not an easy match, the whole team must know how to overcome difficulties, always be themselves to find points: “I believe that the result of winning or losing depends on us alone. The team needs to promote strengths, maintain solidarity, and create a unified team. The team needs to try to prepare as best as possible from our own perspective. That is the key to achieving a positive result against Malaysia”.

In Group F, Vietnam and Malaysia are considered two direct competitors for the only ticket to the 2027 Asian Cup Finals. After the first round, Vietnam temporarily leads the group with a 5-0 victory over Laos, while Malaysia ranks second with a 2-0 victory over Nepal. Statistics show that in the past 11 years since the 2014 AFF Cup, Malaysia has never won against Vietnam, with 7 losses and 1 draw.

The match between Malaysia and Vietnam will take place at 9:00 p.m. on June 10 (local time, 8:00 p.m. Vietnam time) at Bukit Jalil Stadium.
