Chelsea beat PSG 3-0 to win FIFA Club World Cup 2025
"I have no words to say about the players. They deserve it. This is a great moment," coach Enzo Maresca told DAZN after Chelsea defeated PSG 3-0 in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup final in the US on the morning of July 14, thereby winning the tournament title in his first season leading the team at Stamford Bridge.

Facing a PSG side that has been impressive in this tournament, coach Enzo Maresca made a bold tactical decision in the starting lineup when he arranged Reece James to play as a holding midfielder next to Moises Caicedo, while pushing Enzo Fernandez higher up in the center forward position to put pressure.
Chelsea turned the tables on PSG, dominating possession from the start and forcing Luis Enrique's side to pay dearly for mistakes in their attempts to build from the back.
The result was an impressive 3–0 win for Chelsea, with all three goals scored in the first half, with Cole Palmer scoring twice (22nd and 30th minutes), and Joao Pedro netting the other in the 43rd minute.
"For me, we won the game in the first 10 minutes. In the first 10 minutes, we set the tempo, we played the way we wanted to play very well.
Unfortunately, with the bad weather conditions, it was not easy to continue like that for the whole 90 minutes, but I think we won the match in the first 10 minutes," coach Enzo Maresca expressed about the home team's big win.
Asked about what comes next, the Italian tactician smiled and replied: “Very excited. I think I’m even more excited now that we have three weeks off.”

Notably, the 45-year-old coach gave a lot of praise to Cole Palmer, who scored two important goals in a final where Chelsea were considered underdogs compared to PSG.
At just 23, Palmer already has an impressive record in finals, having scored in the 2023 UEFA Super Cup with Man City, scored at Euro 2024 with England and provided two assists in the Conference League final.
Now, with two goals and an assist in the FIFA Club World Cup final, Palmer has been directly involved in seven goals in seven finals he has played in - an impressive record for a rising star.
"Yes, he was definitely the best player in the game. Today we found a position for him so he could exploit the space. Not only Cole, but the effort of all the players was great," coach Enzo Maresca concluded.
