National Cyber Security Association Launches Southern Chapter

At the 6-month review conference, the National Cyber Security Association announced the Decision to establish the Southern Branch and appointed Major General Le Minh Manh as Branch President.

On the afternoon of July 15 in Hanoi , the National Cyber Security Association (NCA) held a conference to review the work of the first 6 months of 2025, and at the same time announced the decision to establish the Southern Branch and launch the Vietnam Cyber Security Magazine.

The year 2025 marks an important turning point for the country, when institutional reform, digital transformation and international integration are promoted more strongly than ever. In that flow, the National Cyber Security Association has clearly demonstrated its pioneering role, proactively participating in the process of creating a safe digital environment, contributing to firmly protecting national digital sovereignty .

Following the direction of the Party, State and Ministry of Public Security leaders, in the first 6 months of 2025, the National Cyber Security Association (NCA) has vigorously implemented many key tasks. The Association's activities are well-organized, have high professional quality, good communication effectiveness and are positively recognized by the community and partners.

At the Conference, the National Cyber Security Association announced the Decision to establish the Southern Branch, appointing Major General Le Minh Manh - former Deputy Director of the Department of Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention and Control to hold the position of Branch Chairman.

The establishment of the Southern Branch has important strategic significance, demonstrating the orientation of expanding the scope of activities, increasing the presence and connection of the Association in the Southern key economic region, where many technology enterprises, industrial parks and large data centers of the country are concentrated.

The Southern Branch will be the focal point for implementing professional activities, connecting members, organizing seminars - training - propaganda, and promoting cooperation between the State - enterprises - experts in the field of cyber safety and security. This is also a concrete step to realize the policy of developing a comprehensive cyber security ecosystem, connecting the central and local levels in the cause of protecting national digital sovereignty.

Within the framework of the event, the National Cyber Security Association also officially launched Vietnam Cyber Security Magazine - the official mouthpiece of the Association at: https://tcanninhmang.vn

The magazine has the function of propagating and disseminating the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's laws on cyber security; reflecting current issues, warning of risks and disseminating in-depth knowledge in the field of cyberspace protection. This will be an official and reliable information channel, connecting the community of experts, businesses and people.

With the orientation of becoming a specialized forum on cyber security and digital transformation, Vietnam Cyber Security Magazine actively promotes technology research and development, encourages innovation, shares lessons learned and success stories.

Speaking at the Conference, General Luong Tam Quang - Politburo member, Minister of Public Security, Chairman of the National Cyber Security Association highly appreciated the proactive, decisive and creative spirit of the Association in the first 6 months of the year. The General praised the efforts of all leaders, members and accompanying units that contributed to the common success, helping to enhance the role and position of the Association in the national cyber security ecosystem.

The General emphasized that in the last 6 months of the year and the coming time, the Association needs to continue to promote professionalization, innovate thinking, and proactively participate in creating a comprehensive - humane - sustainable cybersecurity ecosystem.

The Association needs to clearly define its core mission: "Connecting forces - Spreading knowledge - Promoting innovation - Protecting national digital sovereignty." In that spirit, the Association will continue to be a reliable bridge between the State - businesses - experts; a core social force contributing to creating a safe and sustainable digital environment for the country./.
