Attending the meeting were comrade Tran Thi Quynh Trang - Member of the City Party Committee, Secretary of the District Party Committee, Head of the City People's Council Delegation No. 13, along with City People's Council delegates running for election in the district; district leaders, district People's Council delegates, representatives of departments, branches, the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio- political organizations in the area.
Speaking at the opening of the Session, Chairman of the District People's Council Luong The Quy emphasized that the Session has a particularly important meaning, marking the transition of the administrative organization model from the district level to the wards after the merger. At the Session, the District People's Council will review and discuss the following contents: results of socio -economic development, national defense and security in the first 6 months of 2025; review and approve the resolution to stop the investment policy of a number of projects under the medium-term public investment plan for the period 2021-2025; report synthesizing voters' opinions and recommendations; organize questioning activities focusing on areas of interest to voters such as land management, environment and urban planning.
Speaking at the meeting, Secretary of the District Party Committee Tran Thi Quynh Trang informed that in the first 6 months of 2025, the district's socio-economic development continued to develop steadily, completing and exceeding the progress of 15/15 set targets. Budget revenue is estimated at 2,344 billion VND, equal to 54.35% of the estimate; budget expenditure is more than 881 billion VND; disbursement of public investment capital reached 55.01% of the city's assigned plan. The fields of culture - society,education , health, and social security have many positive changes; national defense - security are maintained.
The District Party Secretary requested the People's Council delegates to promote their roles and responsibilities, actively research, discuss, and effectively contribute to the contents presented at the Session. He emphasized a number of key tasks in the transition period, especially stabilizing the organizational apparatus, improving the quality of ward-level cadres, promoting digital transformation in administrative management, and maintaining political and social stability in the area.
The 6th session of the An Duong District People's Council, term I, 2021-2026, marked the end of the activities of the district-level People's Council, transferring tasks to the ward-level government in a new organizational model, opening a new development stage for An Duong District with the expectation of being more streamlined, effective and closer to the people./.
