A series of universities in Ho Chi Minh City conduct additional recruitment exams

(NLDO)- To participate in the additional admission exam, candidates do not register on the Ministry of Education and Training's system but register directly at the university that has the exam.

After announcing the first round of university admission scores in 2025, many universities in Ho Chi Minh City have announced additional admissions.

Nguyen Tat Thanh University said that from August 25, the school will accept applications for the second round of admission (additional recruitment) in the 2025 university entrance exam.

This additional admission round is based on 3 methods: High school graduation exam scores, high school transcript scores and results of the competency assessment test organized by Ho Chi Minh City National University and Hanoi National University.

The additional admission score is equivalent to the previously announced school standard score.

Saigon International University recruits 350 additional students for 29 undergraduate training majors. The deadline for receiving additional applications is September 10.

- Admission based on 12th grade transcript: Total score of 3 subjects in the admission group must be 18 or higher.

- Admission based on 2025 high school exam results: Candidates need to graduate from high school in 2025 and achieve a combined score of 3 subjects from 15 - 18 or higher according to each major.

- Admission based on the results of the 2025 Ho Chi Minh City National University's competency assessment exam. The score for receiving applications is from 600 (on a scale of 1,200).

Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade recruits additional students for 2 domestic programs and 1 international joint program. The school uses 4 admission methods:

Method 1: Admission based on high school graduation exam results in 2025.

- Method 2: Admission using high school academic results of grades 10, 11 and 12.

- Method 3: Admission using the results of the competency assessment exam organized by Ho Chi Minh City National University in 2025.

- Method 4: Consider the results of the specialized competency assessment exam of Ho Chi Minh City University of Education combined with high school study results according to the subject combination corresponding to each major.

The school accepts applications until September 20.

Ho Chi Minh City University of Foreign Languages ​​and Information Technology accepts applications for additional admission to 23 regular training majors in 3 ways:

– Method 1: Consider the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam. Admission from 15 points or more

– Method 2: Consider high school academic results: grade 12. Admission from 18 points or higher.

– Method 3: Consider the results of the 2025 Ho Chi Minh City National University's capacity assessment exam. Admission from 500 points or more.

Additional recruitment period from the date of announcement to August 31.

Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology also conducts additional admissions by considering transcripts based on the average score of 3 subjects in grade 12 or the average score of the entire grade 12 year.

Consider transcripts based on average score of 3 subjects in grade 12:

- High school graduate.

- The average score of 3 subjects in grade 12 is from 18 points or higher. For pharmacy, it is 21 points, for nursing and medical laboratory technology, it is 19 points.

Considering the average score of the whole year of grade 12:

- High school graduate.

- Average score of grade 12 is 6 or higher. For pharmacy, it is 8 points, nursing and medical laboratory technology is 6.5 points.

At Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Finance (UEF), candidates can choose to be admitted based on their 12th grade transcript scores of a combination of 3 subjects or based on their total average score for the entire 12th grade, depending on their strengths and desires.

Expected conditions for admission based on transcripts according to a combination of 3 subjects in grade 12:

- High school graduate or equivalent

- The average score of 3 subjects in the admission subject group in grade 12 is from 18 or higher for university level.

Expected conditions for admission based on high school transcripts based on the total average score of the entire 12th grade year:

- High school graduate or equivalent

- Average score for the whole year of grade 12 x 3 is from 18 or higher.
