Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Cuong, Commander of the 175th Naval Brigade, Commander of the Vietnam Navy Patrol Ship Squadron, said that despite performing their duties in bad weather conditions, with big waves and strong winds, officers and soldiers of Squadrons 263 and 265 upheld their sense of responsibility, completing 100% of the coordination with the Thai Navy according to the Joint Patrol Regulations and establishing a communication channel between the Vietnam People's Navy and the Royal Thai Navy signed by the Commanders of the two Navies on June 14, 1999.

With careful preparation and close coordination, the 50th joint patrol was a great success. Thereby, it contributed to maintaining security and order in the waters bordering Vietnam and Thailand while continuing to promote cooperation, enhancing understanding and mutual trust between the two navies.
