In the first 6 months of 2025, the total number of enterprises carrying out customs procedures at the Customs Branch of Region VII was 736 enterprises, with a total import-export turnover of over 1 billion USD, down 17% over the same period in 2024.
Of which, exports reached 715 million USD, down 29% over the same period in 2024 (over 1 billion USD), imports reached 450 million USD, up 17% over the same period in 2024 (over 385 million USD).
Handled customs procedures for 44,606 declarations, of which 21,877 were export declarations and 22,729 were import declarations.
Export items include: agricultural products, yellow phosphorus, construction materials, vegetables, machinery, equipment, etc. Import items include: agricultural products, fertilizers, chemicals, coke, equipment for factories producing crushed sand, crushed stone, etc.
Budget reached VND 821 billion, an increase of 9.4% over the same period in 2024, reaching 55.3% of the revenue estimate assigned by the Ministry of Finance , reaching 50.63% of the target assigned by the Customs Department.
The reason for the increase in state budget revenue from import-export activities is that the customs authority has implemented solutions to simplify administrative procedures; production and business activities of enterprises have improved, and the amount of machinery, equipment and raw materials imported for production has increased.
