Hanoi: The 10th grade entrance exam scores circulating online are inaccurate.

Before the information about the standard score sheets for public high school entrance exams that were handwritten and spread on social networks, making many parents "restless", a representative of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training confirmed that the score sheets posted on some groups on social networks were not accurate.

According to the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, the entire process of marking and reviewing benchmark scores is carried out carefully and in accordance with procedures to ensure absolute accuracy and avoid any errors. With a large number of candidates taking the exam, reviewing and completing the steps takes a lot of time.

According to the plan, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training will hold a meeting to review the admission scores for grade 10 of public high schools for the 2025-2026 school year, lasting all day on July 4. The review will be conducted with specialized high schools first, then with non-specialized high schools.

It is expected that by the end of today, the exam results of each candidate and the benchmark scores for grade 10 of each high school will be announced. In previous years, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training announced the exam scores of candidates first, and after a few days, reviewed and announced the admission scores for grade 10 of each school.

In the 2025-2026 school year, Hanoi city has 122 public high schools, including 4 specialized schools and 119 non-specialized schools. The total enrollment target for grade 10 in the 2025-2026 school year of the schools is nearly 80,000 students.

A notable new point in this year's 10th grade entrance exam is the adjustment of the way the admission score is calculated. Instead of multiplying the coefficient by 2 for Math and Literature as in previous years; In 2025, the admission score will be the total score of 3 subjects (Math, Literature, Foreign Language), each subject is calculated on a 10-point scale and does not have a coefficient. This calculation method aims to ensure fairness between subjects and encourages students to study all subjects equally.
