Previously, when he did not have his own house, Senior Lieutenant Le Phu Thoi, Transport Squad Leader, Logistics and Engineering Department, Dak Lak Provincial Border Guard Command, and his wife, Le Thi Phuong Anh, lived with his wife's family. After Anh's siblings got married, living together was quite inconvenient, so Thoi and his wife used their savings to buy a piece of land. Thanks to the support of both sides of the family, 3 years later, they were able to build a level 4 house on the land they bought as a place to return to. Over time, the house deteriorated, causing Thoi to always worry about his wife and children every time the rainy and stormy season came, when storms sometimes blew the roof off...

At that time, the unit launched a housing support program for soldiers in need. Thoi's family was fortunate to receive support to build a new house with an area of 100m2 at the end of 2019. Of which, the unit's comrades' house construction fund supported 80 million VND, the remaining amount was contributed by the family.

Since having a new house, at the end of the day, Mr. Thoi's family often gathers in the living room to talk about the past day and plan for the next day. Mr. Thoi and his wife have their own room to rest. In particular, their eldest daughter - Bao Truc - is a junior high school student and needs her own space to study and live. Having her own room, Bao Truc studies harder and achieves better results. To further strengthen the bond between family members, meals are always prepared by Ms. Anh, her husband and children. In the small, neat and tidy kitchen, Ms. Anh cooks and guides her daughter in preparing the family's favorite dishes. Mr. Thoi takes the opportunity to chat and share with his son to make up for the absences when he is away on long business trips. The happiness of the border soldier's family is simple, filled with laughter because the pressures of life have stopped behind the door.

The project of the comrades' house that the Provincial Border Guard Command implemented demonstrates the spirit of "mutual love", joining hands to help comrades and teammates and spreading profound human values. This is also a great source of encouragement for Mr. Thoi's family, helping him stabilize his life, feel more secure about his home, and from there always try his best in performing his tasks at the unit.

In October 2024, representatives of the Phu Yen Provincial Border Guard organized the handover of a comrade house to the family of Major Pham Ngu To, an employee of the Cultural House, Propaganda Department, and Political Department. After more than 4 months of construction, the house was completed on schedule, ensuring long-term quality. All 5 members of To's family were very happy to live in the new house. Mr. Pham Van Minh, To's father, always felt proud because the house was built thanks to the joint efforts of comrades and teammates in the unit where his son was working.

After a lifetime of military service, up to now, the most valuable asset of Mr. Minh and his wife is the maturity of their 5 children, of which Mr. To is the only son who is taking care of his grandparents and is also the one who follows him on the military path. Life is more fulfilling when a spacious house is built on the old house's foundation, in Ninh Tinh 5 neighborhood, Tuy Hoa ward (Dak Lak province) - where he and his family members have been attached to for the past 23 years. The house is built with two floors with an area of 75m2 on a convenient traffic route. Every time the whole family gathers, seeing their loved ones satisfied and living happily in the new house, Mr. To loves the land and people where he is attached to and preserving day and night.

In recent times, with the efforts of Party committees and commanders at all levels in the Provincial Border Guard Command; the joint efforts of Party committees, authorities, sectors and local organizations in implementing the Army's rear work, many comrade houses have been inaugurated and presented to military families with difficult housing circumstances. From 2005 to present, the Provincial Border Guard Command has supported the construction of 46 comrade houses with a total cost of 3.6 billion VND. The handover of houses is a great source of encouragement, helping the families of soldiers in green uniforms to soon stabilize their lives and perform their duties well.
