Pepper price today August 22, 2025 in the world
The global pepper market recorded price stability. Most pepper varieties had no price fluctuations today.
Indonesia:
Black pepper: Indonesian black pepper prices decreased by 0.49% to USD 7,173/ton.
White pepper: Muntok white pepper price decreased by 0.49% to USD 10,027/ton.
Malaysia:
Black pepper: Malaysian ASTA black pepper price remained at USD 9,400/ton.
White pepper: Similarly, Malaysian ASTA white pepper price was stable at USD 12,700/ton.
Brazil and Vietnam:
Brazil: ASTA 570 black pepper price remained stable at USD 5,850/ton.
Vietnam: Vietnam's pepper export prices remain stable. Black pepper of 500 g/l and 550 g/l is priced at USD 6,240/ton and USD 6,370/ton, respectively. Meanwhile, white pepper remains at USD 8,950/ton.
On August 21, the global pepper market was generally quite stable, with prices not fluctuating much in most major producing and exporting countries.
Global coffee prices are expected to continue to rise, especially on the Robusta market, due to concerns about supply shortages and increased demand from emerging markets such as India. Brazil’s reduced output due to the impact of US tariffs will also continue to support coffee prices.
Pepper price today August 22, 2025 in the country
On the morning of August 22, coffee prices in the Central Highlands continued to increase by 1,200 - 1,600 VND/kg compared to yesterday.
Of which, coffee prices in Dak Nong recorded an increase of VND1,300/kg, up to VND123,200/kg - the highest in the region.
In Dak Lak , the transaction price increased by 1,300 VND/kg, currently trading at 123,000 VND/kg.
Next, coffee price in Gia Lai stood at 122,700 VND/kg, an increase of 1,200 VND/kg.
Meanwhile, Lam Dong is the locality with prices increasing by 1,600 VND/kg, trading at 122,600 VND/kg.
Domestic coffee prices today continued to increase sharply, closely following the increase in world coffee prices. With an increase of 1,200 - 1,600 VND/kg, domestic coffee prices reached 123,200 VND/kg in Dak Nong. This is a record high price and shows a clear shortage of supply.
It is forecasted that coffee prices in the Central Highlands provinces will continue to increase, possibly surpassing the 124,000 VND/kg mark. Although the increase may slow down as the market is "shrinking" to balance with world prices, in general, the upward trend is still the main trend.
